g35 sedan failed aircare, need answer

So, it failed by them just plugging it in. Error code p0171. I switched the MAF wit my buddies cuz he just replaced his. I then reset the car and the engine light turned off for probably 30 mins, then BAM! "SERVICE ENGINE." Has anyone got an answer as to wut it could be. thanks.

P0171 code is fuel mix too lean

possible causes O2 Sensor, fuel filter, vacuum leak etc

Check out myspec-v.com and pm a guy named travis. he lives in Louisiana and might be a little slow to respond, but hes the expert on the VQ35 thats stuffed under the hood of your car.

so i changed the driver side "bank 1" upstream O2 and drove for about 30 mins and the ligt came back on. should i change the downstream o2 aswell? after da 1st o2 my car did stop blwn black smoke. where would i find a leak if der is one??

lol. BaNK one is always to the left when looking at the pulley's of a vehicle. meaning bank one is on the passenger side of a g35. any other questions feel free to ask.
As for code P0171 best way is to use a scan tool. u need to differentiate if both banks fuel trim are out or just the one side. Both sides possibly MAF or rip in intake housing. One side possible 02, again needs to be check with scan tool but could start with front O2 on the proper side of course.
