Hondaracer: Have you tried Angry Birds? Actually, maybe you shouldn't - it's way too addictive.

yea ive been playing angry birds for a while, its pretty fun lol

for GPS app's, MotionX GPS is pretty sweet, it's more of an outdoors GPS app like you would use in a hand held garmin one etc. but what is nice is it has an overlay of google earth's topical map, so you see the full terrain when using it

only thing I dont know though, is if the terrain is grabbed VIA 3G, then this probably wont work as a back country GPS where you are running on purely sattelites..

got my replacement iPhone today. is is me or its slightly different? the Stainless edge seems to be beveled just a touch. i remember my first phone having sharp edges. Also the Speaker/mic and data cable port holes are beveled too.

i remember the original phone being uncomfortable to hold because of the sharp edges.

i compared my iphone 4 with one that was purchased very early that originally had 4.0 and the feel on both phones is different - you're right, the later ones seem to have a better finish.

I'm going to go back to Blackberry, so does anyone know where I can get a MicroSIM adapter? I cut my regular SIM down to size, and just realized I need a new SIM.. LOL

Also, I'm pretty sure I'll be selling my iPhone. It's 32GB, locked to Rogers, and has a white iCarbon installed along with a black Apple bumper. If you're interested, please PM me.

does anyone know where to get a white conversion kit, and a sim card cutter to make it a micro sim

Szeto 11-21-2010 10:01 PM

cnn.cn is where most people go i believe.

try googling white conversion kit, there was a teen in states selling OEM white conversion kit that he purchased from Foxconn.

you don't need a sim adapter as long as you got that older frame of your micro sim get a piece of tape and tape it on there it should work like a charm :D

cho 11-21-2010 11:18 PM

Damnit... I read that some units have a problem with the ear speaker where it has a buzzing tinny sound on phone conversations... I had it before where it would occur on high volume settings only, but now it seems to have gotten worse where it's very noticeable even on lower volume settings... :fuuuuu:

I'm probably going to try and tough it out for now... really don't want to have to re-install a new phone with everything again.

RC0310_EJ 11-22-2010 10:02 AM

iOS 4.2.1 released..

can be tethered JB'ed by Redsn0w 0.9.6b3..

Best to wait for untethered JB before upgrading imo.

Any mac users want to chime in what is the best/easiest way to download/install apps from my laptop? I don't want to have to wifi every time (and render my phone useless) I download a large app

I don't own a mac.. but I do download apps with large file size on my PC..

What is there to ask? just download the app.. and install either through iTunes or SSH the app into Installous's download directory.. and install the app from Installous.

ws6ta 11-22-2010 10:49 AM

after jailbreaking best app to get is easily iProtect. people always want to use your phone and if your like me have that strange feeling giving someone your phone knowing how much of your shit is in it thinking they may snoop you don't have to worry anymore. they won't be able to read txts/see pics/view contact list. etc. at the same time you don't have to be a weirdo by not letting them use phone lol
