yeah that's what I was thinking... I guess the good thing is he got it back, but with it locked there's nothing he can do. He took it into the Rogers store here but they had no clue to do and said something about fixing it over itune??? seriously wtf, lol so I'm hoping someone here can help me :) |
I'm just amazed at the effort those asshats took to piss your friend off.. =/ pretty big iphone newbie but there is a restore function on iTunes. Not a 100% sure this will work, but here's the steps on how to restore a phone to it's starting state: 1) Hook iPhone up to a computer it has already been recognized to 2) Turn on iTunes 3) Click iPhone on iTunes once it has been deteted 4) Look for a restore button and click it Hope it works. |
I don't think you can restore from backup without knowing the passcode. I posted in the other thread what you should do. Check it out :spin: |
Taken from: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=356665 Guy on thread says: "The iPhone will allow you to do a restore with the computer that you last synced it with. It doesn't matter if it is pass locked or not. I just tried it on my own a iPhone and it worked. " Just a quick google though, not really sure if it indeed does work or not~ |
sweet, thanks guys :) I don't know if he synced it up with his home computer, but I'll ask when I we talk next... |
Hey guys I jailbroke my iPhone 3g on 4.2.1 and everything was working perfect. Then when I was uninstalling a theme I downloaded on cydia I accidently pressed the home button and now in cydia NOTHING shows up. I still have all my apps and winterboard and themes and they work. But when I go to manage > packages, there is nothing there. Sections, there is only 1 folder and it's "all packages" and when I go there, there is nothing. Same with changes and everything else. I don't have SSH or anything like that. Anyone know how to fix this without restoring my iPhone? |
Anyone here bbming with the iphone4? Does it really work? |
lol that was just a earlier software version of os5 that allowed text messages to be sent from within the bbm app. |
LMAO what an idiot, since when did bbm take that long to send...? |
I find it odd that there has been no update or word on the 4.2.1 jailbreak. What's up with that? |
Anyone know of an app that goes through all the texts on the iphone when you perform a search in spotlight. I tried to search for a term and it only brings up recent texts. It happened like a month ago and it's a pain in the ass to "load previous messages". Blackberrys search was so good compared to this. Posted via RS Mobile |

2) Activate on network access only ($0.00 voice plan) 3) Add $15 Blackberry data plan 4) Negotiate $15 credit through retentions on your first line 5) ???? 6) Profit |
Can you still get a free bumper from apple? |

Is there any sort of app that lets you check multiple GMail accounts without having to log into the web based version? IBgetanandroidphone :troll: |
