Hey guys i know this question has been asked a million times already but i wasn't sure of the previous answers.. I got my iphone4 at an apple store with fido hup. So is this considered locked?

I'm going to asia and I'm planning to bring this phone to china/vietnam and swap the sim card with prepaid sim when i get there. Would this work or is it locked to fido? Thanks again

i think if apple activated the phone for you then they've locked you to ur carrier...
if u told them u wanted to activate it urself, then they would've just gave u the phone brand new in box

yea like IS said there, basically every one on CL is like $180+ so i figured what the hell

originally i thought it was worthless so i posted on my facebook 3G for $100, a guy i dont like too much said he would take it ASAP but then i looked on CL seeing them all sell for $200 and told him i was keeping it actually lol

shitty thing is my back case is scratched to fuck but after watching the youtube videos it looks wayyyy more complicated than changing the 4's back

4.2 isn't very interesting. I won't be updating especially since there isn't a reliable jailbreak.

I did it on my iPad though since I don't really care about jailbreaking it and it adds so much functionality over iOS3.

Verdict: pretty cool, there is actually some texture to it but the apple isn't reflective anymore which might be a good thing as the mirror used to always smudge.
Already a few light scratches, nothing you can feel but you can see it under the right light

The only reason I got it was that the 3m made it so that I couldn't use any cases on it properly, Managed to use the bumper on the 3m but it tore up the edges as you can see.

This is one of my concerns. this is the original backplate, and it has more stuff on the inside which may affect reception? I have no idea, sorry forgot to take a pic of the new backplate inside. Anyways if you know how to change your batteries in a remote control you can do this

this is wrong. if you brought the phone on contract any where, apple store or otherwise its LOCKED no matter if you activate it at home or at the store.

if you brought the phone at full price at apple store factory unlocked. i believe no matter what you do to it it will stay unlocked.

it will stay unlocked for any carrier in the country you bought it in. If you restore, you will need a sim from the country you bought your phone in to activate.
