if so you are wrong, i have use my unlock ip4 with hong kong sim few months back it work perfectly fine.

I just updated to 4.1 not too long ago and use the same hong kong sim to activate (although you might be right on this one as i was jbing and the same time that might have affected the activation)

Brought the phone in canada via apple store factory unlocked.

okay so my iphone4 is jailbroken. i want to wipe all the data from it. Then I want to jailbreak it again to unlock it so I can use it with any carrier and reinstall my iblacklist app.

how can i do this without screwing up the phone lol? (please and thanks)

edit: it had 4.1 on it. I did a erase all data from settings and it is frozen on apple logo. so I need to somehow reinstall 4.1 again correct?

i really should wait for advice before i start messing with this shit. i just updated to 4.2

4.2 jailbreak is tethered. You gonna have to jailbreak it everytime your phone turns off or you need a reboot. If you have your shsh saved then you can down grade to 4.1. Also the unlock require you to upgrade the baseband to an iPad baseband and some people reported gps and location service stopped working.

okay nevermind it didn't install 4.2. even if i try to install 4.2 it gives me some error 3194.

if they manage to kick it out of the boot-loop, they will see your phone is JB'ed. bye bye warranty. try holding the power+home button untill it turns off. if your boot takes more than 10 min its stuck in the boot-loop error.

You should dfu mode then restore. If you take it to the apple store then what turbo says a few post up is true.

okay put it into dfu mode. now it has 4.2 and no jailbreak. this phone is now officially useless to me until jailbreak for 4.2 is out.

Jailbreak for 4.2 is out, it's just tethered. You can start a tss server with tinyumbrella or point the host file to the cydia server and downgrade to 4.1 then jailbreak.

shit! since last night my phone has been stuck in the white apple logo. I've put in it DFU mode and tried to do a restore but i keep getting a 3014 error. HELP!!

You can only properly restore it to 4.1 if you have your SHS blobs saved

I said RESTORE, not upgrade. Upgrading the firmware is not the same as restoring the firmware. I haven't had to try with mu unlock IP4 from HK since I haven't had to restore firmware in years. Upgrading should not be a problem.

This game was hyped since summer.

Graphics are NUTS but honesty, I don't find it that fun at all. You can't even control your player to walk around, you just click where they tell you to click.

Hopefully the battles will be more fun when multiplayer comes out for it.

Anyways anyone try Dungeon Hunter 2? It's coop multiplayer. It's a Diablo clone.

Also flight control has online multiplayer now!

weird i try updating my phone to 4.2, half way thru the download it will say error and check my internet connection or sth, weird.....anyone experience this problem

And if that doesnt work then check your firewall and make sure apple is allowed in your network (or iTunes I forgot)
I highly DONT recommend upgrading to 4.2 though.. You cant reboot your phone or power off. If you do so you have to re jailbreak or restore or else your phone will be stuck at the bootup screen.

Tethered jailbreak just means that after you turn off your iPhone, you'll have to start it up again with the jailbreak tool.
