im selling an iphone4

So, I am getting my iphone4 tomorrow and I am a total noob. Someone help me out. I need to jailbreak it to get most apps right? If it is running on the latest OS, I heard there is a site called "jailbreakmenow.com" or something?

Also, what are some must have apps you guys have? And, do most of you have a case for your iphone4, if so, which one's do you think are better?

i prefer silicone cases.. non-slip grip but tough (not soft) silicone case.. soft silicone cases rip easily.. but cheap to replace.. like 2$ each lol
dont recommend getting hard bumper's (fucks up your screen protector and viynl (if you have one)), cheap crystal cases.. seen plenty with cracks at school

JailbreakMe only works if you have 4.0.1.. dont know what version you will have when you get your iphone tho

not much people know about the app yet but i'm sure it'll pick up. they must have some angel investors behind their company because the app is free, and ad free as well. the app basically looks like the stock iphone phone app, crazy!

Check out the iphone tutorial section at http://www.iclarified.com/. It has tons of info on Jailbreaking and Unlocking your phone. You don't necessarily need to Jailbreak, but if you want custom themes and home-brew apps, then you'll want to do it. Careful if you Jailbreak on OS 4.2.1, as last I've heard it will be a tethered Jailbreak, meaning you need to re-jailbreak every time your phone is turned off or the battery dies...

Just do your research and don't do anything you're not comfortable doing! Check out http://modmyi.com/ as well, lot's of info there to learn about Jailbreaking and a good, knowledgeable community if you have any questions!

As for good apps:
Angry Birds, Doodle Jump, Flight Control, Find iPhone, eBay... man there are sooooooo many. That's part of the fun of owning an iPhone, finding all the new and cool apps :D

FFFFFFUUUUUU all my apps got deleted
I have a jailbroken iPhone 3g on 4.2.1. I downloaded installous and appsync. Installed apps from installous and when I connected it to my laptop to put new songs on it all the apps I downloaded got removed.
Anyone know how I could fix this?

In itunes go to file and click transfer all purchases from ipod

Does this also allow me to update my apps I installed from installous from the app store? So I don't have to update 1 by 1 in installous.

i turned off my anti virus program and everything finally worked

Okay I installed 1 app from installous to test this and it happened again. I connected my iPhone to my laptop and itunes asked if I wanted to transfer purchases. I clicked yes and it still removed the app.
I googled this and tried many things. I tried right clicking on my iPhone name and clicking transfer purchases and it starts to transfer but then it just stops. It doesn't transfer my free apps I downloaded from the app store either.
My iTunes is authorized
