i fucking miss my iphone lol
for outgoing texts all my texts arrived to the reciever like 15-30 minutes late or they dont send at all.

No issues with outgoing SMS but I was having issues with data on EDGE and 3G last night when I was in Gastown.

heard rogers network was down for a bit today around the time you posted (and subsequently fido too)

so probably not an issue with your iphone, just a problem on fido/rogers side

that's what I thought. The network seems to be more frequently messing up. Not a happy costumer.

Just jb'd 4.2.1 with the tethered option

General consensus on all the forums is the phone itself is stable enough that you rarely ever need to do a hard reset. Only time I've ever run into one is when I installed stuff through Cydia. As long as you install your Cydia app at home or close to a computer then you'll be fine.

I followed the instructions on iClarified and now my fucking phone is constantly stuck in recovery with the 1013 error from Apple when I try to do a normal restore as well.

Been trying to fix this fucking thing for the past hour

[edit] FINALLY got it to restored status! Fuck this tethered bullshit. I'm not messing around with it anymore until the full untethered release comes out haha

Never had a problem with tethered jailbreak really.. instead of pressing restart phone you can simply press the home button and respring

I bought the canucks app and trying to install it on my friends phone but it popped up a msg asking to buy again so I'm not sure....

^yes you can. Friend works for best buy, knows their username and password and used the best buy account and started to download a shitload of paid apps LOL..

My phone just crapped out on me... I have no idea what happened, I was uploading a pic on FB (which it did successfully FYI) but when I looked back it was just black screen. People couldn't call me, now I'm at my GF's plugged it in to her macbook, nothing... FML :cry:

Try holding the top button and the home button together for 10-15 seconds.

Can you ask him if he did this recently? Like within the last week? I'm just worried if they changed up some policies or not.

I've done this numerous times, it will still list the app with the price but once you click purchase another window will pop us saying "you have already purchased this app would you like to install again for free".

Thanks didn't work the first time when I left It plugged in but once I unplugged it. Apple logo :D

check out a few pages back. the_situation posted this program where it can extract things off your iphone.. i used that program and didnt lose anything..

im pretty sure it works.. i just got the iphone a few weeks ago and used my old account that 5+ ipod touch's used. (my 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen, 2g iphone & 3g iphone)

and good news i found out my iphone is live. once i run mobileme/findmyiphone i can locate my iphone :)

When I delete the app then try to re-download on my own phone it says that msg. But when I tried it on my friend's phone a msg popped up asking to Buy.

My phone kept crashing into safe mode today every time I tried adjusting the volume with the volume key. My alarms didn't go off either

As long as your logged in on your account there is no way you can be charged. I've used my itunes account on several phones (friends & family) and downloaded apps that I have already paid for.

Usually when that happens, something that you install from Cydia is causing the problem. It's likely the jb application causing the problem hasn't been updated to work on 4.2.1 yet. When it boots into safe mode just go to Cydia and unistall the last thing you installed.

It was hard for me to figure out which app it was because I loaded up so many of them after the jb process :\

Yeah its a long process if you download a shitload of apps, but go through it slowly, its worth fixing the springboard crashing or whatever thats crashing.
