anyone remember this external battery/case that was posted a few pages back?
well i got mine yesterday after 20 days or so... and the fucken thing broke within a few hours.
i swear when i went to charge the case, it died on me after 3 hours or so of charging, blue leds just died compleltely while it was in charge mode and wouldent turn back on. (indicates that it stopped charging)
so i tried connecting it to my iphone to charge and it worked for about 20 minutes.. then it just died completly
battery case wont recharge no more
what a POS , im hoping for a new unit before i ask for a refund and hopefully get better results

imo locked iphones from all carriers aint worth anywhere near 600$ (talking about the 16gb here)
your phone being the correct firmware for unlock etc doesn't give u the edge you think it would.
Ppl who buy lock phone locally, 90% don't have any use for unlocking and thus they can very well just find an iphone4 off of cl from a compatible carrier who is willing to sell for $500 (for example)
rest of the 10% that do need unlocking capablity will most likely shell out just a little bit extra for a truly unlocked device that won't get neuter every firmware update
just my 2 cent

I find it annoying that you can swipe anywhere along the bottom and in any direction but up to unlock. Also the distance to swipe to unlock is short. I've unlocked my phone by accident many times.

Anyone have any info oon the CDMA version of the iPhone that verizon is going to carry. Any word if it may come to Canada? Fingers crossed.

ha i figured i'd get that response lol
i was originally debating between the torch and the new bold, but after numerous people have told me the downsides (and lack up upsides) i've moved away from BB (only really going that way for bbm) to the iphone or possibly a droid
has apple done anything about the antenna issue that the phone had when it first came out?

there isn't really any issue (not over here anyway) but apple did the free case program. didn't resolve the problem but took some heat off them
anyway if you intend to get a case for your iphone, you'll have 0 problems. if you don't intend to at all (no bumper or case or anything) then you may have an occasional one bar loss at times. no big deal

The only thing that BlackBerry has going for them is BBM and the keyboard. If you've never used a keyboard based phone then it doesn't matter. BBM is overrated IMO because Android, iPhone & BB has Whatsapp and that basically does the exact same thing minus the annoying PIN codes because it scans your phone's contact list.

what is the best/slimmest case out there? (don't really want to have to review 125 pages)
also, do you guys get those film screen protectors and a case?

I'm using an anti-glare screen protector and it works wonders when you're eating etc, or lending it to someone with sweaty/oily fingers, I definitely recommend it for that reason cause you avoid a lot of that nastiness/awkwardness :P
Also doesn't seem to affect the resolution like it has on my laptop. On the laptop I still keep it though just because when it gets dusty I can just wipe it with my hand and it won't smudge anything or leave fingerprints
