just got mine today and it has the star screws
how do i get my contacts from the sim card to show up on the phone?
i already transfered them from my old phone to the new small sim card...just need to get them to show up on the iphone

go into settings and mail/contacts. Then click on import contacts from sim card.

Well, dropped my phone going into the Markham NCIX yesterday and spiderwebbed 3/4 of the screen. Drove over to one of the Apple stores, explained what happened (was prepared to pay for a new front screen, everything functioned properly still) and they gave me a new phone on the spot. I  Apple. You pay a premium but they do take care of you. Between this, a DOA shuffle, and a first gen MBA that I never could get to not overheat, my experiences with both technical support and customer service with them are better than any other company I've ever dealt with.

I'm jailbroken on firmware 4.1 right now. When the new jailbreak releases do i update to 4.2.1 then restore to a backup and jailbreak?
Does restoring to a backup restore my phone back down to 4.1

Hey guys,
I'm planning on ordering a few items from SW-BOX, and I know a few you have already ordered from that website. It is a reliable company? If so, what kind of shipping options did you choose (they had a variety of different shipping companies).
DHL, Air Mail, EMS, UPS, or Fedex. Cheapest option would be Air Mail, but it says it'll take 10-30 days lol.
What say you?

What say you? | i just ordered a few days ago (i think it was tuesday? monday?) and i chose UPS as my shipping option. they chose to send it by dhl though, for whatever reason haha whatever. was tracking the package today and it said it arrived to the sorting facility here and left @ 10.11 am but i didn't receive anything today, so i've got to wait until monday for my stuff 
anyway your shipping option really depends on how much you're buying and your own urgency. if you want to get your items asap like i did, then opt for UPS or DHL or something. it only cost ~$6 more for me to get it shipped via UPS versus air mail
and they seem reliable, but i can't speak for myself until my stuff gets here (in perfect condition)

lol I ordered from sw-box and chose the cheapest shipping option... it says I purchased on the 17th, and for the parcel tracking it says 'The item was posted on 21-Jan-2011 and is being processed for delivery to the addressee.'
I have no idea how long it will take for the actual package to get delivered

It's called FoneHome, and Rogers Data Guy Mike says it tracks your phone's location in real-time through GPS. "Just in case you lose your phone or can't find it, you can send an alarm that even if your iPhone is on mute, it will still send the message to the phone to make kind of like a car alarm noise."
It sells for less than two bucks and he says it's a pretty solid investment.
The app can also remotely activate the camera on your iPhone 4 and you can go to the FoneHome website to see where your phone is hiding.
Data Guy Mike says the FoneHome app has a proven track record and is a good value to help protect your phone - which in some cases, can be a $700 investment.
