it wasn't a problem with the iphone. it was a problem with the network (rogers/fido 3g) - a coworker who was using a blackberry lost service too, so that's how i knew

im using a bumper so i guarantee it wasn't the antennae

with my old regular flip phone, i would get names of people/companies etc on my call display

now with my iphone 4 i just get phone nunbers...is there a setting or something that needs to be turned on or is this an issue i need to bring up with rogers?

i havent had name display on any iphones, and was told by rogers that iphone doesnt support that feature. Then i got a different text/vm pack and all of a sudden, my name display started working... you should talk to rogers and make sure that your package includes name display

Keep in mind I ordered on January 27th at night. Which would be their 28th in their timezone.

Quality wise, 8/10 for the hard cases, 9/10 for sillicones, 7/10 for the wallet case and 9/10 for the back cover. I also ordered a car charger and iphone opening tools. The tools I've used and they work fine. Car charger haven't tried, but lets keep our fingers crossed it won't fuck up within a few hours.

I highly advise that you guys do a group buy next time, cause shipping was total rape. The more people you get, the better deal for everyone since the products are relatively inexpensive. I may order again, in the near future :fullofwin:

Question:

- I heard a lot of stuff about, untethered, tethered jailbreaks and how it messes up if you turn off your phone or it shuts off....So, my question is, what does untethereed/tethered mean? My brother has a 3GS and he gets the free stuff etc etc. can someone explain this further?

tethered is a jailbreak where you cant shut off your iphone.
with tethered jailbreak, if you run out of battery or your phone turns off, you have to boot up your phone via the computer program, redsn0w. otherwise your iphone is as useful as a brick even when it has full battery because it will be stuck at the apple booting logo. tethered is exactly the same as untethered jailbreak with that turn off problem.

untethered jailbreak is normal jailbreak. no problems at all. download free games free themes and anything you want.

everything work fine except the green loader app the greenpoison use to install cydia a piece of crap.

sooooo i install cydia via redsn0w. after you ran the greenpoison, open redsn0w and select ONLY the "install cydia" option. you will keep your untether jailbreak and avoid having to deal with the loader app to install cydia
