haven't had any wifi issues @ home or SFU for the past month or so with Redsnow jb.

Once when I changed to greenpoison had the phone always disconnecting on wifi, freezing, and not booting.

However, with redsnow I've had 0 problems at all. Maybe I'm just having the bad luck of the greenpoison jb atm, but I'm simply saying that his jb atm is still in beta stages hence why these problems would possibly occur.

I just checked out apple store and there are actually two listings for Kensington car mount and both have "amplify" wording in description but one has components for mounting on vents - both cost $40 bucks.

What do you like/dislike about the unit that you guys are currently using? I saw whole bunch of cheapy universal holder ranging from 5-20 bucks on amazon.ca & ebay...

Receive my knockoff vapor today :) have some issues but now that I got it working it's the best case I've ever felt on an iPhone. Feels like part of the phone. Not bad for $30

No actually brought mine off of aliexpress. $36 including shipping. It's missing the button though. I have to diy a bit to get it to fit perfectly but it feels great an the carbon backing is not bad. Not sure if the eBay one is same or better quality

Okay, friend is using GP RC5 and is having a lot of random freezing/restarting issues. Wifi seems to want to always reconnect as well. If you dont absolutely have to JB, wait out a another releease!

no issues for me using gp rc5. although i was on the redsn0w thethered jailbreak right before i used it.

I don't have much dislikes, other than the fact that if you plan on using a sillicone bumper with your iphone, it probably won't fit with the car mount. I should try it, but it's rather tight. If you have a plastic snap on case then that's fine.

jailbreak for it was released last week right thats when I jailbroke it, I assumed the unlock comes pretty much soon as the jailbreak does.

why does the unlock lag if it's already hacked to be jailbroken ?

and any idea on when the unlock is expected ?

Can u sent me the link. Almost all of the "real" vapor on eBay are in fact fake coming from similar Chinese source honestly the packaging look exactly the same. If my case had the button it would Look like the real deal. That is until you put it on of course. The only real vapor I would trust from eBay would be one of the special edition. There isn't any fake one out yet.

Reception impact is the same as what I've read on the real vapor. I have already line the whole case with padding and I still get 2-3 bars less and gps is very spotty. It not so bad for me to give it up though. It feels too good in the hand. I really wish I had a button instead of my diy ghetto one. I hope the seller steps up.

Bad idea if you updated think you will get unlock. In fact there is a chance you might have delay ur own unlock. 4.1 unlock isn't even out yet. Usually when people update than Jb try use a custom firmware to avoid updating the baseband (Wat u use to make calls) so there is a better chance of getting an unlock. You can always update the basband later but u CANNOT downgrade it. If u use greenpoison that means you've update your baseband. Sorry Brah :(

Browsing through the webpage CH28 posted I found this, it's basically saying I just need to update my baseband to be able to unlock it. So how do I update my baseband from 3.10 to 6.15 ?? I'm a little confused by the numbers now, you're saying that the 3.xx baseband is newer than the 6.xx ??

The update to 6.14 is just for 3G and 3GS which currently have baseband starting with 5. 6.15 is actually the iPad baseband so you get to use the 3G or 3GS for all phone functions but u won't have accurate gps (happened to all 3G/s I did the update on) Becuz iPad doesn't have gps it use wifi to generate a approximate location
