i ordered 4 from there and they were all shit (2x full body, 2x front matte), because there was absolutely no way there wasn't going to be a bubble or two near the home button and the ear speaker. the best ones i find are still the momax front/back in matte from NCIX. just PM before you buy them. |
Majorly fucked up my iPhone while ssh'ing.. The phone won't sync anything from iTunes or ifunbox.. Also wifi crashes after a bit of use (give or take 10 minutes) and I have to restart it after in order for it to work again.. Ssh is on. I tried removing everything I have sshed into the phone and no luck. Now I want to restore it back to 4.2.1 and when I select my ipsw there's a error that occurs.. Do I have to put it in dfu/recovery mode before I restore? or how do I restore to 4.2.1 or is there no way around it? Tia Posted via RS Mobile |
have you updated to the latest itunes? there was one released recently that caused all kinda of syncing issues. the newest one is ok. |
how about you try from a vanilla 4.3 (restore in itunes), then use pwnage tool to make a custom 4.2.1 ipsw and restore from that? Quote:

@737! if i remember correctly, pwnage tool allows you to keep your old baseband. if not just look for the method that keeps your baseband at its current form. Quote:

damn i spent half of my day trying to keep my iphone at 4.2.1.. tried redsn0w, ireb and many other programs entering the 4.2.1 pwnd dfu mode. when i connect to itunes i get error 3194. googled it and its a common error when restoring. i changed the ip destinations and everything but nothing i found online worked.. guess i have to upgrade to 4.3 and tether jailbreak :/ thanks alot tho ddr, i appreciate it! |
no problem. as a last resort i would suggest trying another computer. sometimes the same software is wonky on my pc but it works flawlessly on the mac. no idea why. |
Anyone's iPhone battery suck ass after jailbreaking? It lasts half a day now. Fixes (except for unjailbreaking)? |

My sister's was complaining that her 3gs battery life was significantly crappier lately before she realized SSH was on. I recommend not using SSH and just download ifunbox on the PC. |
Celeste Bluetooth file sharing is out on Cydia! Quote:
http://modmyi.com/forums/iphone-news...nsfer-app.html it costs 9.99 on cydia or if you are cheap bastards you can get the cracked file here: http://www.multiupload.com/VUETP3WOC6 download the .deb file onto anywhere on your iphone. then using ifiles on your phone, go to that folder and excute the deb file and it'll installl it. |

i look in the sbsettings toggles and SSH is set to on but it's not showing under the main sbsettings menu (when i swipe to the top right)... i installed it to use winscp. i guess i don't need it if i use iphone explorer? |

if it's set to on i'm not sure why it's not showing up... in any case you can use iphone explorer or ifunbox so you might as well uninstall openSSH |

Looks like 4.3.1 is out.... The only thing that makes me want to update is this: "Resolves bugs related to activating and connecting to some cellular networks" I've lost service so many times.. |
so this morning i accidentally dropped my iphone 4 in the toilet when I went to take a crap :(. turned it off immediately and put it in a bowl of uncooked rice, heard the rice helps soak up the water. anybody had any unfortunate experiences like this and was able to save their phones? will apple give me a new one or can they immediately tell when I bring it to them? any help would be great. >.< |
^ Thanks x100 |
^ i dropped mine into a sink full of water when i was doing dishes one time (living alone at the time fckers, no i'm not a bitch) anyway shut it off right away, put it in the middle of a huge bucket of rice. Not a small bag of rice, but literally a giant bucket that could fit 4 of my size 11 shoes, i did 2 days and nights just to be safe.... and when i took it out, there was literally no sign of moisture and phone worked just fine... it was pretty dusty from all the rice flour so i had to take it apart and use an air can to blow all the crap away, but it worked..... hey i gotta ask you guys for your suggestion, i'm stuck with an iphone 4 locked to AT&T, had it for over a month now unusable cuz i can't unlock it, have 4.2.1 with 3.10... what would you guys do, just bank on a "possible" unlock they say may or may not be coming, lazy fcking hackers! or just fcking sell it use something else and wait for iphone 5 ?? have the iphone 5 specs been released yet? what are the advantages over the 4 ? |
