It's not the invisible back, it's most of the aftermarket back pieces for the iphone 4. Something about the kind of material they use for the flash piece. Some sellers sell pieces that have a flash lens piece of different material and it doesn't interfere with the flash. The ones that do would just blur out the images if you take pictures in the dark relying on flash

use ifunbox go to system/var/stash/themes/typophone4.theme/UIIimages

look for the image where it looks like it could be creating that outline (aka transparent image except for the bar at the bottom forming the outline). i think it should be called XXXX_base.png or something along those lines. rename the image by adding a 2 at the end (XXXX_base2.png) so the phone doesn't use the image and you still have it stored in your phone in case you need it again later (remove the 2 if this doesn't work). hopefully this'll solve it

I actually switched over to Typophone Weather.... I couldn't get the flashing 88:88 to disappear in Typophone 4... maybe it's 4.3.1.

^I upgraded to 4.3.1 through itunes first then jailbroke it and works like a charm.

Anyone know why my backgrounds aren't showing up on the lockscreen using typophone/slantlock etc?

Some Cydia apps aren't working properly on 4.3.1. Currently, the following have been reported:

Shrink
Action Menu
DisplayRecorder

If anyone was following my problem its resolved now.
The black screen frozen state was fixed by letting the batter drain to complete emptiness. Then i charged it a bit and it restarted, immediately restored it.

As for my jailbreaking problems ive come to the realization that Windows Vista sucks. I tried all the methods documented on the web but redsnow continued to crash. Used a laptop running XP pro and it worked fine.

how do you guys transfer your contacts if you guys start fresh after an update?

I sync my contacts with gmail then resync it back to my phone after. This way my contacts will forever be on the gmail server and won't have to be worried bout losing them.

I also sync my bookmarks with ie and resync it after.

Other than those 2 things there's nothing else that I really care bout losing.

the best way is to sync with outlook... sync your contacts and calendar with outlook.

nope... the "UIIimages" folder doesn't even exist. :S
