I see what you did there. I meant bypass the emergency call so i can get to the apps page and download ultrasnow from cydia |
No, you going to need a sim card to do that and it has to be a sim card from the carrier the iPhone is locked to. Or you can order a universal iphone activation sim card from dx for $2.86. Don't know if this still works though http://www1.dealextreme.com/producti...ku_42595_2.jpg http://www.dealextreme.com/p/univers...3g-3gs-4-42595 |
noob question ~ so i followed the instructions to jailbreak using pwnage tools and i have cydia and winterboard but whenever i try to open winterboard ... it seems like it'll open and it'll instantly close a second later googled it ~ said to hard reset and restore and jailbreak again done it same problem anyone know what's happening? |
is there anywhere locally i can pick up a screwdriver to take off my back plate off my phone? totally didn't order one with backplates |
^screwdrivers for your glasses work too. a little big but they will work or come over to my place lol or you can go to jp cellular |

if you want to bypass the emergency call screen to activate the phone, you can use pwnagetool and select the "activate the phone' option. |

I looked it up just now: http://www.4coolday.com/iphone-4-unl...sim-p-226.html If you turn off the phone, do I have to redo the procesdure? Yes Has anyone tried this? Is this statement true? |
ok so i finally unlocked my iphone 4 with Gevey i bought from green net PC for $60 cash, and everything works just fine i can text i can call, but anything else that uses data doesn't work... i cant surf the internet i cant use google maps, basically my data is useless, i can only call and text, am connected to rogers network no connection issues... so is this supposed to be this way, or did i do something wrong ? also i have error msgs pop up every once in a while when i'm texting that say i'm not connected to a cellular network, the texts go through anyway no problem minor annoyance yes and not everything is smooth at this point with Gevey, but fck it i can finally use my phone for telephone functions texting calling... and yes the guy told me if i turn my phone off i have to repeat the same procedure of dialing 112 emergency etc... |
Take it to Apple, get it replaced lol |
