ok so i finally unlocked my iphone 4 with Gevey i bought from green net PC for $60 cash, and everything works just fine i can text i can call, but anything else that uses data doesn't work...
i cant surf the internet i cant use google maps, basically my data is useless, i can only call and text, am connected to rogers network no connection issues... so is this supposed to be this way, or did i do something wrong ?
also i have error msgs pop up every once in a while when i'm texting that say i'm not connected to a cellular network, the texts go through anyway no problem minor annoyance yes and not everything is smooth at this point with Gevey, but fck it i can finally use my phone for telephone functions texting calling...
and yes the guy told me if i turn my phone off i have to repeat the same procedure of dialing 112 emergency etc...
go on network settings on the phone and turn on cellular data network . i get that pop up when i turn cellular data off. might be the case

thanks yea i tried that already, no bueno....
heads up to anyone whos gonna be doing this Gevey thing, the dial a 112 number part is very fckin tricky i learned the hard way last night... IT IS AN EMERGENCY NUMBER, SAME AS DIALING 911
it said hang up as soon as you hear it start ringing, but not fast enough for me last night I had the local 911 dispatcher call me back right after I had hung up, i apologized and told her i was having issues with my touch screen phone and there was no emergency
now that iPhone DEV team that hasn't come up with shit for the last few months when they said the unlock would be out in November, i would say they can suck it, but at the same time Gevey isn't a 100% bulletproof system, there are issues like i mentioned with my data network not working, not being able to use my phone for anything other than texting and calling...
i've looked online to see who else had a similar issue but nobody apparently, because data is supposed to work, maybe i need to call rogers and see whats up
EDIT:| did some digging, now i'm understanding my APN settings which is what connects the phone to Rogers network are blank, i have to manually enter them so i'm on the phone with Rogers right now to get this info

ok fixed the APN settings my fcking self, Rogers tech support wouldn't give me the APN line for some reason so i looked it up online and found it...
you just input this
APN: rogers-core-appl1.apn
User: *blank* (don't enter anything for this field)
Pass: *blank* (don't enter anything for this field)
in the cellular data network tab under the APN line and that's all you have to enter, now my data is back to normal..
one thing that isn't normal now i notice is the battery drain, holy fck its going down fast, just updated to the newest software 4.3.1 and it went from 100% down to 97% in like a few minutes

I didn't see it through the modmyi repo on my iphone so I thought I'd post an alternative. I don't know why it didn't work for you as ALL themes work like this. Unless the download link for the theme didn't work, but I wouldn't know because I didn't try applying it on my own phone.
so which sites you guys get your customized theme/lockscreen from?
I dont really like to browse through cydia since there are so many and it takes so long.
Anyone try Barrel? It adds transition animation when you flip through the iphone home screen pages
i been using barrel for a long time and my most favorite one is curl and roll away if you have a full page of icons

So the remote unlocking service works but some unlockers have stopped taking orders since they can't keep up with the amount of request they receive even at $170
When my phone is unlocked and I'm just going through texts or something and a call comes in, I press Answer to answer it.. and when I'm done, I press "END CALL". When i press END though, springboard just crashes and reboots by itself. My lockscreen goes back to "stock", but everything else is customized as normal. I'm in "it Safe Mode", though.
When I go to open SBSettings though, this pop-up comes up:
I'm using SleepFX right now, pretty awesome. Allows your screen to turn off with different animations, including one that turns off like Android 2.3 (Tube TV turning off)
