I did some research. Found this. "ROGERS just resolved it self, it had something to do with rogers not updating their dns so they were pointing at the wrong ip address when you used rogers to go to the website. They arnt blocking, its just a quirk of the net." Going to call fido later and figure this out. |
if I already have a jailbroken phone and try to unlock it, will I lose everything and have to start fresh again? |
If its already jailbroken, Unlocking will never lose all the info and data in your phone^ |

^ what iOS and baseband is your phone? what unlocking method are you planning to use ? coz the only time you ever hv to start from scratch is when you hv to restore your phone with the new iOS in order to jb. unlocking is always something that doesnt require full restore Quote:

Do you have to reinstall all Appstore apps after a jailbreak, or does the jailbreak preserve them? |
it depends on the jailbreak. for newer firmwares, the jailbreak process involves flashing the phone (blanking it) with a custom jailbroken firmware. i remember for older firmwares, you can simply run programs and restart and the cydia icon will pop up. select the one that applies. |
I don't know if you guys have any of the same problems, some of the games and apps that need an update on Installous, won't even load when I try to update them. It says I can update tappi bear cause they have two new games on the new update but when I click the link for the update it won't load. Any of you guys have the same trouble? Posted via RS Mobile |
Is there a good way to backup apps from Installous? |
you can try 'aptbackup' from cydia, or iphone explorer, or ifunbox i prefer to: 1) d/l the ipa's on the computer, replace and upgrade versions as they come out 2) double-click or drag into itunes; sync with itunes maybe aptbackup even restores the app data and settings (or i.e. game saves), but i like to start fresh when upgrading firmware. remember not to restore from any backup when upgrading. |
Just update your iPhone to 4.3.3 using iTunes and then download redsn0w. It will jailbreak your phone and install Cydia without wiping the data or apps. Posted via RS Mobile |

I have a question, I am currently on 4.3.2 jailbroken to redsn0w right now and want to update to 4.3.3 redsn0w. The thing is how exactly do I update it without losing all of my data, apps, etc. Any help would be really appreciated. |
