Well... I would love to but it seems that I would have to shell out at least $2-300 for an unlocked one on top of mine (worth $~4xx now?). The Gevey is only $30 and I only need it for travel once later this year.

I hate the facebook app but I do use it.

It is buggy beyond belief. Every time they come out with a new version that supposedly fixes a problem, another 4 spring up.

I'm in the same boat, leaving to HK in 2 days. Tried to find an unlocked iPhone4 but no dice, so I'm just going to buy a Gevey in HK(since it's like 150 HKD)

Fixed my timestamp issue.

Overrode the default carrier.plist with the Rogers one.

My iPhone has the home button issue now too, gets annoying but I can live with it

My lock button no longer "clicks" it's just kinda stuck. Someone's my home button doesn't work. Think it's enough to warrant an exchange?

yes, u can restore all the apps when u make a backup..

but when your friend uses his own computer to sync.. all the apps will be erased..

you can always just JB the phone and use iFunbox/Winscp to trasnfer the .ipa's to the Installous folder and install the apps that way

And that means the second iPhone will be the exact same as the original?

My iPhone will be jailbroken, but don't want to go through the hassle of having all the apps from the Appstore and Cydia reinstalled.

try using "PkgBackup" from Cydia for your cydia apps

Was using my phone just fine, then when I checked back to it 2 seconds later I can't turn my phone on. I pressed all the buttons but my screen is black and it had full battery. Tried charging and nothing. Did my phone die? Should I go to Apple and will they get me a new one? iPhone 4

Edit: held the home and lock button down for 10 sec and it's back to normal.

There is no way to know. The ONLY authorized resellers are from Gevey's own site. $35 is not exactly tempting either
