The genius who helped me with that problem couldn't reproduce it on the spot. He went on YouTube for a few minutes and said the battery should drop 1-2%. It didn't. He said he didn't want me to leave without any help, so he replaced the battery.

Ya great thing about Apple store is how good their post-sale care is.

The first iPhone 4 I got had a proximity sensor problem. When I brought it to them, they couldn't reproduce the problem on the spot but gave me a new iPhone anyway.

guys, can i unlock 4.3.5? not an iphone expert here but i unlocked my boss' phone a year ago and he friggin' decided to connect to itunes and updated it. its locked again, Cydia is gone, along with UltraSnow of course. facckk!

well i went in for my genius bar appt today and she said everything that i said happened would warrant a replacement unit IF i was still under the 1 year warranty. she told me it expired 3 days ago! so i was like "FUCK" what now then?

she then gave me a new sim card for free to try. she said thats pretty much all i can do if i dont wanna pay the $229 to get a new phone. but she said try calling applecare anyways and see if they can sell it to you since its only 3 days past the expiration.

got back to the office and called applecare and they took care of it and sold me the additional year no questions asked.

now just need to book another appt at the genius bar and get the replacement.

THIS is why i love apple. they actually care about customers.

So I reformated my computer because it was causing problems and now when I try to sync my iphone 4 it says:

"the phone is synced to another itunes library. Do you want to erase this iphone and sync with this itunes library. .....erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iphone with the contents of this itunes library".

I dont want it to erase all my cydia apps, settings, themes, contacts, cracked apps, etc. How do you go about syncing it with this "new" itunes and still have everything intact as it was before?

I do have my itunes apps backed up with cd's which I loaded on itunes and are showing under apps. This would be really dreadful to have to reset up everything again on my iphone. I got my videos/music/pics/playlists back in itunes. Can someone help me out? Thanks

My home button isn't really responding sometimes, and when I touch or press on the black part above the screen (area around the frontcam/ speaker) it creates this white glow on the screen like its about to crack or something...

It might just be a iOS5 beta thing but whenever someone ragequits on me, my game crashes and I don't get the win/they don't get the loss.

I think they're all "virgin" until you pop in your simcard, at which point it is locked to that carrier. That's how I understood it to work.

Well turns out the replacement iPhone's speaker doesn't work.. They replaced the replacement. All is well.

all iphones come unlocked. they are locked by Apple's servers at point of sale. sometimes the clerk forgets or messes up. lucky you.

It feels good to have a fresh battery after one year of hard usage!

my battery life sucks and the warranty is about to run out, can i exchange for a new one? or will it be refurbished

Gf just got a replacement phomr yesterday after the one we bought off craigslist didnt have a working vibrate. The girl said its a new phone with some used parts but everything should look and work like new
