Was just at pc apple store. I got my new replacement for stuck pixels! When i was waiting there was a lady who brought in her dropped iPhone 4 totally dented and shattered. The rep that helped her told her that she would pay 219 replacement phone instead of retail. What amazed me more was when she came back, she secretly told her that the replacement would be free just cause she was nice. Intense. Now I'm not scared of dropping my phone! Ha!

tried it yesterday, it was a fail. the guy had a dozen packages of new Geveys, tried them all. the iPhone is now an iPod.

So I'm having some issues with Cydia when running on OS 4.3.5.

Using redsnow to jailbreak then when I go to install installous, it doesn't appear on my main screen. Any one what's going on?

Sell it for one he can use I guess or trade + cash for a factory unlocked unit

They did the same to me haha. I think it was $229, though, for any kind of replacement. (Not only cracked screen.)


I'm thinking of buying the additional year of coverage through the AppleCare Protection Plan. First year of coverage will run out in November. Did anyone buy it for their phone?

My friend found a broken iP4 on his way to SFU. Brought it to the Apple Store with his mom, and they replaced for free too. Mom was happy to get a new phone :p

My location services/check-ins isn't working. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I tried googling it, but no luck. The "Location Services" and every app is on. But my facebook check ins doesn't seem to work.

The "location services status icon" is always on and I can't seem to turn that thing off too. Can anyone help me out? TIA.

I got an IP4 2 weeks ago coz my iphone 3GS is crapping out on me Battery won't even last 6 hours and is freeze pretty constantly. Already try to restore to factory settings but no help.

FYI.

IP4 is now $1.65 on the TELUS team store on a 3year plan that is $50+. Probably liquidating stock for IP5

I'm taking my iPhone 4 in for a replacement due to a home button issue where I have to tap a few times to have it work. My iPhone is jailbroken...will I need to remove the jailbreak or do they just swap it there without checking? Thanks

- right click on your phone in the itunes menu
- backup phone
- click on the restore option
- wait for firmware to download & install

You should have a factory restored phone once it's done. Book an appointment for the genius bar on the apple website @ the store of your choosing. Show up & explain the problem and you should be out of there with a brand new phone within 5 minutes.

I had the same issue and that's how long it took to get a new replacement.
