viber which is iphone to iphone only. you can also apparently make calls with the budweiser app.

Just tried magic jack and calling few dealership down south. Phone quality is really nice.

Damn I was surprise their car parts are at leat 1/3 x than our dealership price

hey guys my 3gs fell in the sink so gonna get a 4 soon, i don't have a data plan and don't want one can i just buy a iphone 4 off CL and get a microsim from fido and pop it in and use it like i did with my 3gs? and i heard theres a option to block data usage completely on IOS 4 and above is that correct? thnx guys

Yes you can do that. You can try cutting you old sim card first and if you did it correctly it should work fine. If not then go buy one from fido for $10.

Hey guys is it safe for me to update to iOS5 even if i want to JB when it becomes available?

fuck.. i was on an old JB.. like 4.3.1 i think, and when i went to update it fucking too FOREVER and then my phone went into recovery mode and said only way to get it working again now is to restore, so probably lost all my shit wtf..

I know I hear stories like this all the time on the intarnets, but when it comes to people I actually know who try to do it, they never get the same deal. Makes you wonder

there are no new features worth losing your Jailbreak over. wait till a proven method is available.

I think getting a free replacement is totally up to the "genius" behind the counter. Maybe it's their mood or how tight their hipster jeans are that determines if yours will be free. Although I have heard of more women getting freebies, I wonde why? ;)

On another note, I heard that the apple stores were packed today, 200+ people lined up. I walked into future shop at 9am this morning, waited 20 minutes and got a new 64gb iPhone 4S... Sweet!!!

I bought it off eBay cause it was cheaper. It's from AT&T. Can I still unlock it for Fido ? :confused:

yes you can, you will need to be mindful of baseband firmware, ios version and never ever update to a new ios version unless you are using a patch ios ipsw file. iclarified is your friend... iClarified - Unlock Wizard for iPhone

Is there a unlock for OS 5 ? Does the app from Cydia work ? Its called ultrasn0w or something. If I go out and do it, will it be permanent ? Sorry, I'm a apple noobie :p

Everytime you update, your phone is going into a fresh install and what apple does is revert your phone to your back'ed up state. Anytime you update you lose all jailbreak/unlock. There is an unlock for iOS5, but the jailbreak that goes with it is tethered. Permanent depends on when the next jailbreak/unlock comes out for the new firmware you have updated.

Hey $_$. Can you show me the unlock for iOS5 ? I dont mind tethered, its better than nothing. I've been to three cellphone shops today and they all can't unlock it. I need to downgrade OS in order to unlock. I tried to go into DFU mode in iTunes and restore but pops up an error. Any help ?

go look at redmondpie or iphonedownloadblog. you have to change your hosts file in windows, or use tinyumbrella to fool itunes. can't say it's worked for everyone now. consensus is that downgrading doesn't work anymore. you also might have upgraded your baseband already.

Yeah, I've tried tinyumbrella. I'm pretty much SOL right ?
Guess I'll return this and buy a new Fido one.

tiny umbrella only works if you have previously saved your SHSH files.
