I'm still undecided about selling my 3GS and getting an android or just getting a 4g, after a year of having an iPhone I'm pretty bored...although it will probably be the same with android after a year as well Posted via RS Mobile
I'm not hating but Apple is full of shit... "Oh we're gonna change the whole world with this!"
Video calls has been out for a while, my three years old LG shine got video calling.
Although I don't mind 720p video recording and the Retina display.
i'm going to sound like a fanboy but alot of the feature of the older gen iphone was doing the same thing. ALL of the hype up feature on the previous gen were old news too. Like the app, touchscreen and what not. Nobody really pay attention to apps and all the previous touchscreen phones were just a gimic. Yet Apple made ppl WANT to use these feature.
Cant really say if it will be the same with video calling, we will just have to wait and see
^ In my circle of friends, I'd say one in every two has an iPhone. I and a few others plan to get the new iPhone. If a company can make customers use the front camera it'll be Apple. Majority of customers already have a data plan. Video calling takes it out of data.

I think some people are missing the point about the video calling feature.
Yes video calling has been out for a long time but it is not a feature that has been highly marketed, until now. Even on the older phones, you need to be talking to someone with a video call capable phone to do it.
Look at that gum commercial where they say 2 out of 3 dentist recommend chewing gum to help fight tooth decay. Well, most gum will do the same job as those Wriggley suger free gum, but they were smart enough to take advantage of it and use it as part of their marketing.

The white one looks amazing, and I agree with Vinny G. It doesn't seem revolutionary, more like evolutionary.
Personally I hate when they say things like how the iphone is setting the new standard in cellphones or anything along those lines, but I also understand that sadly they're correct most of the time.

the iphone suits me much better, im usually always on the net, and bbm can sometimes get really annoying especially if you dont want to talk to a person and they can see if you read it or not ;p
Am I the only one who's really disappointed at the new iphone?
I mean, with the exception of a higher resolution, there's nothing to be excited about. iOS4 was already announced. UI stayed the same, which means super dated comparing to what andoid or even WinMo7.
I think apple blew this one. I'm waiting iphone 5.

Apple has some of the best marketing, period. Watching their ads and videos is almost a trancelike experience. Then again, their abundant use of superlatives and hyperboles is starting to get annoying.
However, gotta say, glad I held out on the iPhone until now. Have had a dumb-phone all this time, and finally looking like the right time to switch to a smartphone. The Retina Display looks cool, can't wait to see it in real life.
Being absent from the Apple Iphone scene for a long time now, does this one have push email?
