how do HUPs work? do you pay upfront for the subsidized cost of the phone ($159+)? or does it get added to your regular monthly invoice?

more specifically with Fido do they just charge the $159 and call it a day or do they do some hokey stuff like in iPhone release years prior... charging $399+tx for the phone on the first invoice and then giving a credit of $200+tx on the third invoice. in the end you only ended up paying $199+tx for the phone but had to shell out the extra $200+tx for two months and then got it back later as a bill credit.

no idea how it works with fido, but when i did my HUP for rogers yesterday at the apple store, they just add it to my next bill. $159.99 for 16GB + $35 activation.

when are they gonna release the white version

Especially the users who just signed a 3 year contract... they wouldn't be able to get one unless they bought it outright.

every year when the iphone came out there has been an upgrade promotion..as long as you upgraded to a smartphone for at least 3 months...or some period of time (usually pretty short). they'll let you early upgrade again

like...i just got an x10 in april...yet for some reason i'm eligible for the iphone 4 at the new customer price.

White does look nice. Another benefit is it's easy to find when it's pitch black or lights off in the room

Strange.. My friend says there's an early HUP fee if you do choose to. And that Rogers isn't really allowing HUP for the iPhone 4.

they are going to say its a glitch.

i only got $250 off. and thats true according to their policies initially. i bought my iphone on jan12, 2009, 12 days over the $480 cut off.

he said its a glitch on the system, whatever.
