Any fido users manage to re-new their contract and getting the phone at the lowest price point?

My friend gave me some Apple store (US) gift cards. Any chance I can pick up a Iphone 4 paying full retail price without getting a AT&T plan?
If so, what's the full reatil price now? All I can find is the AT&T plan price.

at the moment if you want to get it in the states you have to get an at&t plan

Just to let you guys know that I called Rogers and they are giving out the 6gb of data plan even if you don't get the iphone.

Hmmm, I was down at the Bellvue Mall a couple weeks ago and went to the Apple store. The guy working there said you can buy the phone out-right without an AT&T plan, but that it was "locked" to AT&T. They were cheaper as well. If I recall correctly $599 for the 16gb.

So for any smart phone? Correct? Wonder if fido is offering the same

I just called yesterday and asked about it and the chick said she could add that onto my current plan if I wanted. So you don't even need to get a new phone to get it.

I'm not sure if everyone will give that deal out tho.

^ yeah it says you can't buy an iPhone 4 without AT&T contract on Apple site. But people have been buying them without contract since day 1.

i called retension last night and got $10 Flex Data on top of my $17.5 200 mins/5pm unlimited. But no CID/WM/TXT.

Someone was able to get this price ($27.50) including CID/TXT/WM but I couldn't even after telling them I am leaving.

I talked to my friend last night, and she said since I'm on a corporate plan, the earliest I can do an early HUP is in September (it'll have been six months since I signed). However, there'll be an early HUP fee of $180 + a $35 activation fee + the fee for the iPhone.

on the bottom of the pop up it says corporate plans have their own upgrade schedule and aren't eligible for early upgrade.

Anyone with Rogers/Fido manage to get a sweet retention plan with the iphone4? I'm looking to renew my contract with them but only if I get a good deal out of it

Just got my phone today.... maybe it's just where I am, but the reception just seems super crappy. Dropped 3 calls so far today.:(

high doubt a new complete new hardware revision in jan by apple. It is not in their nature to admit their fault and pushing a new hardware so soon is basically admiting the iphone 4 is faulty. It will also spark a wave of return and warranty claim from early ip4 adopters. not likely

imo after sept 30 apple will start redesign the ip4 box to fit in a bumper which will be more cheaply made than the one they have now with crappier material to be included with the purchase of ip4. And their will be a new iphone in january, the white one.

I don't know about now but I added the 6 gb plan 2 years ago no problem but I did buy one of their WinMo phones at the time.

that plan is pretty good but i'm at $62 with more txt, pic msging, etc. so i'd be weary to try and get better
