Alot of people here are missing hte point with videocalling..or as jobs calls it.. FACETIME... but as a few of you said, videocalling was a niche service that was gimmicky. Apple is gonna do the same marketing as they do with all their products and features to promote such service. Is the iPhone4 revolutionary? absolutely NOT..outside NorthAmerica, but face it, the iphone is a decent device that many have adapted to serve their daily needs |

ahaha but now that its not a 50c per videocall, this means more people will use it becuz its free.. |
Hmm... they talked about multitasking and also praised their new chip that is supposed to give better battery life. I wonder how hard the drain will be on older iphones with multitasking on. Why can't they give us the option for a removable battery :( edit: FML the 2g is not listed on the compatibility list for iOS4 |

Personally, I would hate to have an iphone4 and have the wife call me and be able to see where I am with the guys. :eek1: But like you said, Apple will definately spend the money to promote this technology to the point videocall's become a regularly used term like Xerox is for copiers, Coke is for a cola soft drink, and Ipod is for mp3 players. |

Luckily my contract ends in July so i'll be switching to an iPhone. I just don't know if its going to be worth it to shell out extra dough for the the iPhone4. |
dont know if im 100% sold on it yet. |

Maybe with the Iphone4 things might change as a lot of my friends are considering switching from their current 3GS. |
The only thing that draws me to the iPhone 4 is the retina display. The screen res sounds so godly on paper, I really want to see how this thing preforms. |
apple is reinventing phone sex. Since it will be wifi only, I bet it will get the most use at home with a strong signal and naked SO on the line. |
^probably not even just SO, maybe just dial up some random people in hope of them having an iphone 4 while posing naked ahahahhah |

Does anybody care that the new iPhone 4 is going to be using a micro sim instead of the old mini sim? I mean what happens when you eventually get bored of the iPhone 4 and decide to go back to a BB, Droid or any other phone? Are you gonna have to get a new mini sim or dig out your old sim if you can find it, call in to customer service to get it activated and deactivate the micro sim? Or is there gonna be an adaptor you can use? Same as if you were to buy a used iPhone 4 from the Buy & Sell or Craigslist. You'd have to buy a micro sim, call in and get it activated and deactivate your old sim? Doesn't seem like a smart move to me on Apple's part unless all phones that come out now were going to be using micro sims. Also does that mean all future iPhones will be using micro sims too? |
i'll have to see it in person before i make a decision. |
They mentioned it ever since they found the prototype Posted via RS Mobile |

and you can just cut your own mini sim that you have right now into the micro sim size. It's the same chip and the speeds are the same, its just less plastic. Apple would probably continue using the micro sim as it saves space, and they need that little extra room according to Steve Jobs. edit: there's actually an online store that sells the adapters. http://www.microsim-shop.com/ |
