Sorry I should mention that I already updated to 4.1.

It's on the main page at zagg.com

Look at the top, it'll either say "Contact customer support" or "Contact live support" or something like that.

It depends when you check cause their live support isn't 24/7

“iPA God” is a new application which can be used to download paid apps from the App Store for free, directly onto your iOS device! According to the developer, you won’t have to jailbreak your iOS device to use iPA God. It works on an exploit found in iOS 4.1 / iOS 4.2 which allows you to create particular files on the filesystem. The developer took the opportunity and made an application out of it to make the entire process easier.
Sounds good right? Until it says...

Quote:

Since it won’t be allowed on the App Store and the developer says that jailbreak is not required, iPA God will be available “soon” as a direct download from the dev’s website (please done ask for the link as we strongly condemn piracy here). The developer has already said that it will cost somewhere under $20. Its funny how he’s charging money for his app. Maybe we can install a cracked version of iPA God, just to give him a taste of his own medicine!
Lol why pay 20 dollars especially when a jailbreak is coming out REAL soon. Also why pay 20 dollars only to have apple comes out with a patch in 2 weeks that would fix it. Not worth it.

ericthehalfbee 09-18-2010 10:57 AM

^ Why pay money when you can be an asshole and pirate for free?

What is international assist? I see it when I'm making calls locally. It will alternate from calling "Calling Mobile" to "International Assist"

Starting to get pissed at the battery life. Push Notifications turned off, locations turned off, email checking once an hour, half brightness, and I get this.

https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/Photo...jpg?w=5a3ca1eb

WTF. Should I bring it into Apple? Would they even do anything?

I also tried a few of these recommendations from online sources.. none of em seem to be saving me any battery life either! Been contemplating taking it to the Apple store; I just don't know what they have to offer other than the same recommendations?

Some of my friends have been getting better battery life than others, it's weird.. iPhone 4's battery life seems so inconsistent argh.

teaoh 09-19-2010 07:54 PM

lol what kind of battery life are you guys getting? I drained my battery to 0% and then filled it up to 100%. So far, I got 2 hours, 38 minutes of usage and 1 day, 7 hours of standby. From that, I'm currently at 61% battery life.

nathaniel 09-19-2010 08:05 PM

i'm at 59%

2 hours, 58 minutes -- usage
10 hours, 39 minutes -- standby

.. whack.

and I did the drain first battery life, then full charge overnight thing when I first unboxed it.

DanHibiki 09-19-2010 08:08 PM

I've drained the battery and did full charge 3 times now. Batt life sucks.

ninjai123 09-19-2010 08:17 PM

what I've heard is that you should never let your battery drained to 0 cause that will kill the battery faster!

Hondaracer 09-19-2010 08:17 PM

meh, i use mine alot everyday then charge it full at overnight

better life than my 3G so cant really complain as long as i can charge it lol, use to plugging in my phone every night

edit* for the post above, i belive it doesnt matter because the Li-ion batteries or w/e that are in new phones dont have memory, so they dont lose a charge by charging practices?

There's no memory in these batteries, yet Li-ion batteries actually retain life better if you don't do a full discharge. They prefer frequent partial charges rather than full ones.

rk604 09-19-2010 11:54 PM

If you guys jailbreak, the battery will suck....if you don't believe me, try restoring and running the phone STOCK. It's amazing how long the phone lasts without jailbreak, but at the same time, you have basic apps...

Razor Ramon HG 09-20-2010 12:06 AM

With that said.. maybe the excess battery drain is due to more time spent using apps as opposed to more time spent in standby with the stock firmware?

Alby 09-20-2010 12:52 AM

i always drain mine till about 15-20% before i charge it overnight. it usually takes me 2 days to drain it down to that amount.

ninjai123 09-20-2010 03:30 AM

and also for those who thinks the battery drains too fast check how many applications you got running try to kill the process when your done with an applications. Cause they do run on background due to multi tasking platform with new os 4.0

But Apple's method of implementing multitasking is so it doesn't take up battery. It's not true multitasking in the sense that it runs in the background. All it does is state saves and remember where you last left off. As soon as you exit an app, it stops using the processor. People call it "fast-app switching" 'cause that's exactly what it is. For most apps like ebuddy, multitasking pretty much just bypasses the loading screen. Your list or msgs don't get updated until you open the app.

Of course there are certain exceptions such as VOIP apps, navigation apps, and download-files-in-the-background apps which do a bit more while multitasked.

But I dunno the exact technicality of how it works but I don't see it sucking up much battery life at all.

Anyways, if I'm using the phone like a computer and have it on constantly while surfing the net, ebuddy, checking out the app store, etc. I drop 1% in every 3-5minutes. It's depressing watching it go down :(

What the shit, I have the exact same problem this when I woke up this morning. At first I thought it just the phone but when I got to work I tried logging in using my work computer and it's still says my password is wrong (Can't log in to MSN messenger either)

Now I'm assuming some hacked my hotmail account...?
