^ I just read all 3 pages of that thread, thanks... but fck it seems more complicated than before, you're totally right about it being picky. I've jailbroken my iPhone few times before and it was simple click here and there, game over with BlackRain. now I'm reading through that thread and guys are talking it'll do this, but not if you have that, but if you already have that then it won't work if you have this. because basically I'm working with a virgin ipod touch 2G, never been hacked, jailbroken modified in any way. All I did was update the software through iTunes to 4.1 and now I just wanna jailbreak it. so I assume a legit 4.1 hack will be coming out soon that will hack any device running 4.1 no matter what they got?? |
you've jailbroken before and you still don't know not to update until you know you can jailbreak the next firmware? |
lol yeah, it looks like he doesn't even know what he's doing or what he shouldn't be doing. |

^ well through installous I downloaded both the TomTom US&Canada map and the Navicon (i think that's the name) GPS for US and Canada. It would've been $49.99 each otherwise. Good thing I was able to use it without paying, because in the end they both suck. POIs aren't up to date despite being the latest version, and generally it's hard to scroll through the map trying to find a street as compared to scrolling through with google maps. I had much better luck with using wifi to load up the LA map area I needed and then just use it as a GPS. If I had purchased the above GPS programs I would've been out $49.99 (only reason I got both was because it was "free") and wouldn't be able to get a refund. |

or "Why should I pay $200 for a CD with some software on it that only cost $1 to make?" "I never would have bought that program in the first place, so they didn't lose any money by me downloading their software". Here's a tip: If you want to buy something, Google a few reviews first. With something that expensive/popular, there should be tons of reviews to help you decide if something is good or not. Quote:
I have well over 1,000 CD's (and just as many LP's) that I've bought over the years. Any new music that comes out I'll either buy on iTunes or if it's really good I'll pop for the CD. |

I'm not stupid I know the fckin process, I updated to 4.1 because I assumed the hackers would have a full blown jailbreak for 4.1 within a week as has been the case with most of the other software versions. What I didnt know is that now apparently the jailbreaking process seems to be getting more complicated. Jailbreaking my 3.1.3 iPhone 3GS was a breeze using the BlackRa1n exploit. I'm just hoping that the 4.1 crack will be as simple to use, but from everything I'm reading so far it's more complicated, and I don't know what that says about the hackers and their efforts, like... is Apple getting better at their job or are the hackers slacking ? I don't know this field enough to have an opinion on it, but I definitely know the basics. |

Aside from what I mentioned above, one major gripe is that there's no easy to way to just scroll through the map or add a POI to your destination unless you're in the "navigate to" section. If you are in the "browse map" even if you search up a POI you can't even add it to your destination. Very unintuitive and a lot of pain. I think what I'm trying to get across is, I'd much rather be able to try out the product instead of relying on reviews only. enough about that, point is, despite what the reviews said, I still found google maps with WIFI WAY more useful and easier to use. For CDs I do buy them if I like the artist and want to support them. Otherwise I just download them. |
When checking your data usage, did anyone receive extra bonus data from Fido? I'm on flex data plan but it saids i have 1gb of data |

My Rogers tracking app said I had 2650 texts, but I only had 2500 included in my plan. I went over, and took $20 in extra texting charges >_> |
