I've never jailbreaked my iphone before....is it difficult to do and is there some online tutorial that has step by step instructions?

Does it void my iphone warranty?

What kind of iphone do you have? What firmware version? There are several step by step tutorials on youtube for
firmwares 4.0.1. If you're on firmware 4.0.2 or 4.1 you cannot jailbreak it yet.\

I just read that link saying should be released soon..........just hoping there is some tutorial to show me how to do it....I'll keep an eye out on youtube when 4.1 jailbreak is released

Well, apple is making it more complicated to jailbreak it seems. I don't think it'll be simple like the old pre4.0 firmwares where all you had to do is open a program and follow instructions the program provides.

It still shouldn't be too complicated, I hope.

Just installed my Zagg invisible shield, the thing attracts dust like crazy. I cant't even take the dust off.

Anyone having bluetooth problems even on iOS 4.1?

Once the phone is in my pocket, the person on the other end can't hear me. In fact, even if it's out in the open but held on the opposite side of my body, they can't hear me or barely hear me.

Also it gets disconnected easily.

Am I gonna have to exchange it?

I've always used this site to jailbreak my old iPhone. They add tutorials when new jailbreaks are released. :thumbsup:

My phone is jailbroken and on 4.0.1.
What happens when the jailbreak is released and then I update my phone to 4.1?
The minute my phone gets updated to 4.1 I will lose all my cydia apps and all themes/custom settings?

Aside from backing up my phone and syncing my apps on itunes anything else I need to make sure of before I update to 4.1 once the jb is released?

fck over the last two days I've had a helluva time with my iphone, it's constantly dropping the wireless signal.

I swear it seems like it's programed to force the phone to use 3G at times so MB's can get racked up bills paid to cell companies.


I mean most of the time video streams faster through 3G than wireless on my phone, even when I'm the only connection and sitting right next to my wireless. Newer model Belkin router btw..... ugghhhhhhhhhhh !!! frustration frustration

Is your router beside anything like a microwave or a cordless phone?

i am not having any of the issues you guys are having.... my iphone is from apple store but that shouldn't matter...

4.0.1 jb is like 2 mins using the web site, i don't see any reason to update to 4.1 unless there's a significant improvement.

Fuck you fido @ aberdeen, they had an iPhone 4 and my mom was ready to renew my dad's contract, they tell her we need to renew with purchasing a new data plan, problem was I had a pre-existing one so I called into fido and the lady told me this

She cancelled my data option for now, write a note on my acct that says that I will buy the plan and cancel it after and revert to my old one.

Guy tells my mom that he won't sell it to my mom if they're not going to make any money off of it, and that his manager/boss? would yell at him. Fucking pissed that the guy plays my mom like that.

I call back to fido and explained what happened and I said to them that "it appears that fido doesn't want my business" and he tells me next time anyone tries to pull this on me just pick up their phone and call them and they will deal with the dealer. Fido understands that they would rather not have me get a data plan then lose a 10 yr customer with 4 lines, Selfish fucking azn store disagrees.

@ ilvtofu did you get the salesperson's name? Should've told the person that you're going to call HQ and explain why you're possibly switching to another carrier because of the attitude you were given by that specific sales.

how else does one end up with amazing offers from retentions! I've heard these stories three years in a row. Use this to your advantage and give retentions a call. Shit like this makes me not want to deal with store front staff.

Its also another reason why so many fido dealers are going under, being selective like this affects the overall stock for big ticket items like these being distributed or even purchasing the items for the company. If smaller chains jsut followed policy and did your HUP. I can almost assure that when the iphone5 rolls along, they will end up with more stock. The faster they sell, the more they can order quicker, the better it will look.

regardless, I kno a few inside that specific dealer(from management to store front). I will tell you that even being related to the store staff, or the staff themselves CANNOT sell or buy any DATA RELATED DEVICE without attaching data.

ok so installed that theme, also used the lock screen clock remover..

everything is where it's supposed to be.. but my lockscreen wallpaper stayed the same (non-black picture)

anyway when i try to change lockscreen wallpaper to black it lets me change, but when i turn my phone from sleep to on again at the lockscreen i find that the wallpaper doesnt change...
