Didn't fix it at all. Happens to all my calls if I don't use the headphones. I keep launching into facetime, misdialing and hanging up on my friends.

This phone does everything except work properly as a phone.

I upgraded to 4.1 and the proximity sensor isn't as bad as it used to be. I've only had two "phantom" touches in the last week or so. Hopefully they'll tweak it again with the 4.2 update.

its the design itself, i realized that if i hold it differently, the proximity sensor doesnt screw up. usually the proximity sensors is put beside the speakers, thats usually the best or proper spot imo. since the iphone 4's proximity sensor is above the speakers

I wish apple just allows us to press that top right button so that it locks the phone when you're chatting instead of hanging up on the person.

well technically that button is the 'standby' button lol but yeah the screen going on and off for iphones is quite annoying

i'm getting like 11hrs standby and about 4 hrs usage

mine is 22hrs standby with at least 4 hours of usage and have like 25% batt left.... and im talking bout constant text all day, internet browsing, 40 min talk, msn and facebook on all day, wifi for an hour and maybe 30 mins of gaming.......

thats better then mine!!

I lose approx. 10-13% every hour if on constant use.

The battery life has been worse since the 4.1 update.

hmm jailbroken on 4.0.1... my battery life is pretty decent it usually lasts a full 14 hour day with medium use or lasts like 48 hours if i dont use it much at at all.

what do you guys keep your brightness settings at? mine lingers around 50~60% bar.

the worst is my house, i get 1 bar anywhere, on any room, so my battery drains as it keeps looking for signal i guess..

but i havent experience any drop calls.... i use my phone with 1 bar or almost none and my calls sounds clear..

i do have auto brightness on, and yes about 50% on the bar

do you guys have location service on? i have it turned off all the time unless i need to use it for gps or poynt.

and fetch data on email is done manually like everyone else.. i actually thought i have shitty battery life coming from bb user, and looking at the reviews around the iphone 4 saying it can last 2 days on average use

i have the batt doctor app and i actually find it drains the battery when i have it running on the background..

If i connected my iphone 4 to my Alpine car deck via the iphone aux/usb cable, would i "overcharge" my battery, and potentially cause the battery from not being able to hold a long charge?

either by overcharging it or constantly charging and uncharging or not charging up to 100% or charging while the battery still has life?

anything i should be aware of??
