That's what everyone on fido seems to be doing ahaha How much is 32gb states..? like $299? So are we expecting the same for fido, rogers, telus, and bell? Posted via RS Mobile |
spec wise, the sprint EVO exceed the iphone 4 in almost every aspect. Too bad we don't have a GSM/HSPDA+ cousin. Nexus One is an amazing phone. The AMOLED screen is the best color I have seen on mobile phone screens and theoretically speaking, even the new IPS based iphone 4 can't touch it. It beats the 3GS hands down and stand up very well compared to the 4G. My suggestion, as an ex iphone fan (I had every one of them and even have mobileme to fully support my addiction), give Nexus One a try first. You could always sell very close if not a bit more than the purchase price (new=529USD vs. about 560 on CL for a mint condition one) I went from iphone to android and never looked back. |

I thought the gyroscope was a cool addition but after seeing Steve Jobs play Janga on the iphone 4 and have to constantly turn in circles just to rotate the block is dumb. Who wants to have to stand up and spin around all day when playing games? |

It seems that all phone discussion these days focuses on the "war" between Android and Apple when you go into any office and almost everyone uses a BlackBerry. |
Blackberry is great for emailing and whatnot but if you want to browse the web a lot you wouldn't buy a BB for that. Posted via RS Mobile |

how do you earn fido dollars? When i got my 3g a couple years back, i had like $115 in fido dollars so my phone was pretty cheap but i didnt know how i even go it lol. |
^ earns a couple of dollars every time you have a new invoice |
Can Android users here explain to me why those phones are much better than the iPhone? i'm curious to know. I'm most likely getting the iPhone 4 but a small % of me is leaning towards the Android. Blackberry's are out of the question. If it wasn't for the crazy iPhone app store, I just might have switched over to Android. |
^^^^ yeah I've heard the same thing but I'm still considering bb Posted via RS Mobile |

You'd be way better off using fido dollars to buy a shitty phone, then sell it on craigslist for cheaper cash and pick up an iphone from there, or just go buy direct from the apple store. $799 for a 32gig. LOL |

The android does alot of things that only a jailbroken iphone can do the fact that you can't have flash on the iphone sometimes ruin things, even tho i realized i dont visit too many flash dependent website -first and foremost, wifi tethering on 2.2 is amazing -fully integrated with all your google services is another big thing for me(google sync thru exchange on iPhone is terrible...sync works well with contacts and thats about it) -the android system is fully customizable to suit your needs -The iPhone functions as a gimmick>phone in most cases, your use of the appstore is for garbage like iFart...or iGun...although there are some great apps like PDF readers and such for the iPhone -turn by turn navi on android 2.2 -when google implements android in more of your regular uses, ur phone will allow u to connect to such application at the end of the day, alot of ppl won't care for such features, but in the long run, the android device will function as a more practical device rather than a toy |
The thing with android for me is that there are WAY too many phones coming out with it. I buy an iphone and from my perspective i've got the newest one out there at least for a year. Buy an android and 1 month later there is already newer androids phone out that have better hardware, looks and what not. I guess its ok if your a phone whore but I stop whoring phone yrs ago How does flash run on andriod? does it stutter at all? flash games playable? |
iirc someone posted up a vid of a person using flash on the htc desire or something? It ran, but it wasn't very snappy. So, if you just want to use flash for it's function, it'll work but it won't be overly smooth nor pretty. |

Is there a big difference from the androids now than from G1/Magic? Cuz those were the last ones I used, I've been on blackberry for the past long while. Posted via RS Mobile |
Is Flash for Android out yet or is it still Flash Lite right now? |
i wonder how many pages this thread will hit before the Canadian launch date. |
