Ya 3pm was the magic time to go and lineup. That was when the sale started. It was so packed when I was in there at 2:50pm

Okay, possibly a stupid question but one I'm not sure the answer to.

I've got an iTunes backup of my old 3G on the computer. Is it possible to transfer that backup onto an iP4?

Alby 10-03-2010 11:00 PM

you can always try to restore it on the iP4. at best iTunes will not allow it if its not compatible.

Splmash 10-03-2010 11:16 PM

I was at Oakridge when it opened (@11am) and there was only 6-7 people in line. I was the 4th =D

picked up a 16gb for my uncle and a 32gb for myself.

can anyone recommend a good, yet affordable iphone 4 case and screen protectors

Actually I believe it's possible but not recommended as it may create a lot of problems or bring whatever problems over from your 3G to the Iphone 4.

I recommend you sync your contacts from your 3G with google mail (there's an option for this in itunes) then sync them back on your ip4.

You can call apple and cry about the reception and they'll send you an apple bumper for free.

No can do. My 3G was waterlogged, so I'm unable to access it. :( Hence my question.

DanHibiki 10-03-2010 11:39 PM

Oh. Well I like I said it's not recommended anyways. At least you can still transfer all your contacts over.

This proximity issue is horrid. Any news if Apple will attempt another fix in 4.2?

Every call I make my phone goes into either Facetime, mute, hangs up on whoever I am on the phone with or ends up going into my contact list. Is anybody else experiencing this? I’m wondering if it’s just my phone...it got worse after the 4.1 update.

I transferred a backup of my iPhone 2G to my iPhone 4 with no problems so I don't see why you can't either.

This might seem obvious but I was wondering why mine stopped pushing and I realiezd that under Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Push, mine was set to manual. Look into that if you haven't already

No problems here

Splmash 10-04-2010 10:46 AM

My friend told me they're getting a lot in at the oakridge store on Wednesday. Take it for what it is, no guarantees

it just varies on how people hold their phone while making a call..

just put the edge of the phone on your ear, your ear hole should align directly to the upper speaker,

and u dont have to worry bout keeping your mouth close to the mic, it is a mic after all....

my gf was having problems with the proximity issue on her first week, when she puts the phone next to her ear, the whole screen is pretty much touching her ear and cheeks.. i told her to to do it my way, i always held my blackberry like that..

so basically only the upper part of the iphone and my ear is the only thing thats making contact when i pick up calls..

So much compromising for a device that's supposed to work fine for a phone. Keep in mind I had the original iPhone and 3G and never had this issue.

I have the same issue but I am wondering if it is an issue with my screen protector since the sensor is right about the ear piece.

think about it.. the zagg invisible shield is not a *THIN* piece of film.. it's actually quite a bit thicker.. so probably not compatible with some cases out there. i bought an incase case with a regular antiglare SP no problem. tried the case on my friends with a zagg.. issue..

The_Situation 10-04-2010 05:52 PM

People have had the same issue with the SGP screen protectors and those things are pretty thin.

Same. Not once did I have this problem with my 2g.

I'm wondering if I should get it exchanged or not.
