I am thinking of getting a iphone 4...but the 6GB promos are all over, so
now the options are

500MB
is that actually enough data for like browsing, streaming vids, facebook and etc...

i wouldn't recommend streaming vids with a 500mb data plan. but then it also depends how heavy streaming are you talking about.

is your phone jailbroken? cause youtube doesn't allow you to stream high quality vids on 3G only wifi.

Nope, on the mobile youtube website, not the native app, there's an option for HQ.

For email and web 500mb will be more than enough, just keep on eye on your data usage if you stream vids. From what I recall streaming YouTube used about 1mb per minute.

Back in the day I never broke 300mb of data usage now I use gigabytes because of tethering.

That's correct. The stock YouTube app that came with the phone is really old school. It runs on edge quality videos.

I had to charge my phone every night for the last 4 nights. I have been using it a lot during every since I got it tho. 7 hours of usage =O

I'll have to wait a little while and see if the battery is defective or if its just over usage.

I just had my half hour break and I've only played a game for about 10mins , and answered a text and read one page of this thread and I've already dropped 10% in battery!!! Now I don't know if that is normal for iphones or i have a defective battery. I have wifi, tethering, auto brightness off, brightness set around 25%.
