Hey guys 3 questions

1) so my PC with all my music my ip4 was synced to died on the weekend and im currently using my laptop. I did a back up but does that only save contacts/texts or does it save music too?

2) Im jb on 4.01 now, is there a way I can save all my apps before I jb?

3) Should I back up my SHSH blobs with TinyUmbrella incase something fucks up? Or is reverting back to 4.01, just in case, useless now?

Are u guys able to uninstall the limera1n icon after installing Cydia? I haven't tried in on my iPhone 4 yet cause I just got it exchanged but on my cousins iPod touch I can't uninstall it

EDIT: NOTE*: To remove the limera1n icon from your desktop you can install CyDelete from Cydia then use it to delete the application. Eventually this capability should be present in limera1n itself.

No, it's an untethered jailbreak.

Make sure you get the Beta 2 version of limera1n. Beta 1 uses an older beta of the untethered hack.

I haven't encountered any bugs related to the jailbreak yet.

Some strange issues with Winterboard but nothing important.

so from what I'm reading this new 4.1 jailbreak is only for ipod touch 4G and 3G.... I'm trying to jailbreak a 2G ipod touch, am I shit out of luck or should I give it a shot ?

Don't try it yet. The jailbreak for ipod touch 2G should be released soon.

fck just tried it, the Limerain program said it went successful but the ipod touch just restarted and no change whatsoever, so it didn't work.

how soon are we talking ? few days, or longer ??

This is probably a stupid question but, I've noticed today when using my phone for a game or even playing music, when I cover the right bottom speaker, it blocks out all of the sound.

When I cover the left speaker, the right side is still playing (Meaning only the right speaker has sound)

Anyone else have this problem or are one of my speakers blown?

EDIT: nevermind, I just learned that the right side one is the speaker while the left is the mic..

beta3 is out

If you have a 3GS, use the Beta 3. Apparently there's a fix or something in there that works better with the 3GS. Beta 2 worked just fine with the iPhone 4.

Beta 3 (or 2 I'm not sure which one) doesn't work on my cousin's ipod touch 3g. Only beta 1 works.

Just a heads up to anyone planning to jb their ipod.

He should post up download links to all 3 or change the filename to indicate which one you have.

meh i was pretty reluctant to shell out 40bux for the incase snapon case.. but i'm glad i did.. some fuking homeless fag ran into me and sent my phone flying.. to my surprise.. i have not a dent on the phone itself.. and only small scratches on the corner of the case itself ~
