nope - restarted, re did limera1n, still nothing.

what does the microsim card/adapter do?

^ Basically a microsim is just a regular simcard with all the excess plastic removed

So you can essentially make your own microsim by cutting all the excess plastic off
The microsim adapter just puts the plastic back on - similar to how a MicroSD -> SD adapter works

When you guys get your fresh microsims from Rogers or fido don't u have the option to keep that little frame around the microsim incase you're using an old phone? Use that instead of buying an adapter. I did that when I was swtching between iPhone and BB.

1. Sync to back up
2. Restore
3. Let it sync so it backs up your previous files. At this point your phone is clean, and unjailbroken
4. Jailbreak again

If you're already jailbroken with beta3, there's no point in trying out beta4

I had the same probably with my using my desktop with latest iTunes. I tried it at least 10 times and it never worked even though it said it did. I then use my laptop and it worked the first try. Maybe try a different computer.

Man I just tried playing Modern Combat 2 online and DAMN I got my ass kicked. I dunno how these people are so good at this game with these shit controls

I had jailbroken 4.0.1 and facetime over 3G works with 3Gunrestictor but with 4.1 it doesn't work over 3G anymore. I think an update to 3Gunrestrictor is needed. At least I don't have the 3 lines of dead pixels on reboot anymore that happened with 4.0.1 but I rather have 3G facetime instead.

Those dead pixel lines were something they implemented as a joke to signal its been jailbroken. Try using My3G to bypass the wifi restriction.

Any news if there would be an unlock for 4.1? Debating whether to keep the iphone or go with a samsung galaxy.

I'm looking for an answer to that too. I've jailbroke my 3GS on 4.1, but ultrasn0w doesn't seem to be working for the unlock. The network thing just says "Searching.......".

Are you currently on 4.01? iPhone 4? If so you can save your SHSH blobs with TinyUmbrella and then update to 4.1 without updating the baseband. Then continue to jb 4.1. If you had anything with 4.02 or higher there is currently no unlock for IP4. Not too sure if this is the same for 3GS.
