Thanks for the download

Is there a file that tells you what your changing cause there are like 12 different folders. Don't really want to do a trial and error with all

Edit: scratch that i figured it out lol

trd2343 10-12-2010 04:04 PM

I got really confused by all the jailbreaking program there is, so I'm going to list them out and see if I get them right.

Sn0wbreeze - allows user to update firmware and jailbreak it, while preserving the baseband for unlock
Requirements: Jailbroken iPhone? (read on websites that iPhone needs to be jailbroken previously)

PwnageTool - MAC version of sn0wbreeze
Requirements: Jailbroken iPhone?

tinyumbrella - same as sn0wbreeze, but for iPhone 4 ONLY
Requirements: iPhone 4
http://www.redmondpie.com/update-iph...and-to-2.10.4/

GreenPois0n/Limera1n/spirit - jailbreaks iPhone
Requirements: iPhone needs to be on most updated firmware

Ultrasn0w/Limesn0w - unlocks iPhone
Requirements: jailbroken iPhone

bootrom (for 3GS) - new bootroom requires tether, old bootroom can use untether

I hope I'm getting the programs right

tinyumbrella does not jailbreak your device. It allows you to save your SHSH blobs for future downgrades.

I had the same problem last night with bitesms...it would start and then automatically close. This link doesnt seem to work...any help?

And anyone else try infinifolders?
I tried last night a few times via Cydia. I would click "install" on the top right corner but would get a pop up window saying I have to pay for it.

Today, instead of an "install" button up on the top right, it now is a "purchase" button. So am I right to assume this tweak is a paid tweak? And its not possible to get it free?

I got my incase clear case. Feels cheap for some reason.

Warning: 56k death

I bought this theme today, and it looks amazingly wicked. Figured you guys might be interested :)

And although I'm not sure if it will work like this.. Extract the folders into root/library/themes, and hopefully you can see activate it through Winterboard! The reason being I'm not sure is because I'm not sure if straight copying the theme off my iPhone works.

Download v1.6 here - http://www.mediafire.com/?unmdknk5gum8m7i

Remember to activate the SBSettings skin through the SBSettings option menu.

how do i Extract the folders into root/library/themes, ?

kayceeee 10-12-2010 06:03 PM

is it easier to jailbreak iphone 4 thru a mac or pc? or does it make no difference at all?

Download OpenSSH from Cydia, then use an SSH client such as WinSCP (Windows) or Fugu (Mac) to connect to your iPhone. Find your iPhone's IP address under your wifi connection. The username is "root" and password is "alpine". Remember to set your Auto-lock to Never as well. Then place those theme folders into root/library/themes.

bakasam 10-12-2010 07:04 PM

You need to SSH into your phone using WinSCP or other similar programs and drop it in.

Btw regarding that theme is there a way to make the icons not so "shiny" i dont know how to put it but it seems really bright on my screen when applied. Or maybe i just dont have a good background to run with it ~.~

Vansterdam 10-12-2010 07:14 PM

thanks

any idea what version HG uploaded?

i see that theres version 1.5.1 out on another site

The_Situation 10-12-2010 07:27 PM

You don't need to SSH your phone. Download iFunBox and you can go straight into your iphones memory.

Lomac 10-12-2010 10:23 PM

So... who's able to get the Glasklart theme? I can't find it anywhere. I even tried loading the Source that they say is no longer necessary. :(

? its already loaded on cydia under modmyi repo. Just search in cydia for glasklart and it should show up.

See, thats what I thought. However if I search specifically in that source, it goes from Giants Calculator straight to Go Boom Font. If I do a broad search through all the sources, it goes from Glasgow Rangers Ringtone right to Glass of Water.

Could it have been something that got screwed up in the earlier betas? I loaded on beta2. Mind you, that shouldn't make a difference.

The_Situation 10-12-2010 10:51 PM

Hmm when I do a broad search for "glasklart" it searches only for results that have "glasklart" in the name.
Is your cydia updated? When it asked you for essential upgrade or complete upgrade did you choose complete?

Lomac 10-12-2010 10:53 PM

Actually that's a good call. I think I simply chose the essential upgrade.

Edit: Epic fail on my part. I clicked on "Themes" in the main Cydia screen and voila... found it.

If you want the default slider from Typophone, make sure it's higher up on the list than the EPHD theme in Winterboard.

hmm
I installed openSSH from sydi, installed it on th phone...then downloaded WinSCP and was able to connect to my iphone.

However I did not see a Themes folder under the library folder so I created one and copied the extracted files over (all the folders with the files in it)...no dice haha
Am I supposed to just copy the endfiles into the themes directory(and not the separate folders they are in? And will creating the themes folder myself work?

and advice? thanks!
