Anyone else having problems under fido 3g?
My iphone4 and my mom's 3gs having same problem
Under 3g having no service, on edge it's full bars...

At home I always turn off 3G cause the signal sucks here. On edge I get full bars. It's not just with the iPhone, it happens on other phones too. It's probably where you are located.

Same way it's been since at least the 3G. Still don't know why Apple doesn't allow you to use custom tones for SMS.

Can only do it if you jailbreak and then manually replace one of the six existing SMS sound files with a new one.

Any of you still using Typophone weather?
If you want custom lockbackground do this:

- open style.css(open with notepad) under the typophone weather folder
- edit the last line in style.css (remove * for background, keep * for black)
- go into settings->wallpaper->choose a picture and select "set as lock screen"
- settings won't take effect immediately. Respring the phone and VOILA!

How the hell do you guys use pandora app? everytime i install and make an account it says "Not available in your country". is there anyway to get around this?

Are there any programs out there to export my contacts onto my sim card? All of the ones for the earlier versions of iOS don't work with iOS4.x and I havent' really found anything online.

hey guys just got the iphone yesterday and was wondering if 10% battery per 12 hours is normal?

this is my first smart phone so i have no idea

^ Your battery only goes down 10% every 12 hours? Or you've used it for 12 hours and are now down to 10%? Huge difference there.

Go on Cydia, and look for "Lockscreen Clock Hide".

or your mean your battery has gone down 12% after 12 hours of standby and not use?

i usually get a total of 4.2 hours of use per day talking, texting, browsing, fb and msn on all day and some games (2d games)

i charge it and unplug it at midnight, and wake up in the morning sometimes it would be 100%, sometimes it would have gone down 3% less (my room has poor reception, i get 1 bar or 2 so it does drain batt more)

so on average a day, a total of 22 or 23 hours of standby with a good 4 hours of usage (varies on games, txt and calls etc) im down to 30 or 25% by end of the night

i unplugged it around 11 last night left it sitting there. i get about 4 bars bars at home i think its been connected to my wifi this whole time.

oh it was at 90%~ from when i posted its at 87% right now

I just noticed that everything that i post on the facebook app on my iphone only appears on my wall and not the news feed. Any ways of fixing this?

ya my whole 22 hours of standby, about 7 hours of that is overnighter and untouch while sleeping

my gf would text me maybe 3 times as she is on her way to work at 6am, and when i wake up at 8, sometimes my percent is down 98%

there was one time when i did forget to disable wifi and it dropped 15% from when it was discharge and woke up in the morning.. wifi does drain your battery even if its on standby... so yours sounds about right...

this is also my first iphone coming from BB, so i did find the battery usage kinda dissapointing at first...


i just cleaned the mic, speaker, and the dock connector with a microfibre cloth, holy, soo much dust and dirt collected in there from since i bought it in sept

so far i installed greenpois0n, cydia, and installous
not too sure how to use them but where would i find new themes for the phone?

Anyone figure out how to fix the black screen during incoming calls when using typophone 4?

I got one, I am quite satisfied with the case .. perfect fit for all 3 pieces..
but if you want it fast I would advise you to ship it to like point roberts or something ( Take 2-3 business days ) or if you ship it to you Canadian address it will take from 14-20days ! XD..

(Know this from experience cause I ordered mine to P2P came within 2-3days.. my friend got it shipped to his house took over 2 weeks)

I've run into a weird issue. Jailbroke my wife's ip4, and for some reason the modmyi repo isn't showing up in Cydia. It should be there by default, and I can't add it in manually. Anyone know of a fix?

is anyone using tomtom or navigon on their iphone 4? Need some help in deciding which one is better to use.
