u can download the morphs to replace the stock bar
it was done so to save space and make the update as small as possible

I've been trying to locate a black status bar morph too for LeoFroyo. Hard to find one....so simple of a change too. I miss the black status bar from LeoFroyo 1.2
On a side note, any of you have an issue with the headphone jack changing tracks for you no matter which music app you're in? Seems like a known issue. There's a widget to toggle the on/off for the headphone jack here: http://code.google.com/p/android-headset-blocker/

OK, finally got something going after a lot of killing my ROM quite a few times (good thing there's nandroid). http://ip208-100-42-21.static.xda-de...d.php?t=693595
-Go there and download "BlackMatteMorph v2".
-Install MetaMorph Pro. I tried MetaMorph (free)...that didn't work too well.
-Locate the BlackMatteMorph file through MetaMorphPro and unzip it.
-Load the XML file inside the unzipped morph.
-Apply all .apk packs.
-Let it reboot and continue with any prompts.
It's a rough instruction set, but its been a long day.

i saw that screenshot, but didn't like the cyan battery status.
i found a carbon fibre status bar, it looks ok but im still looking.
where did u get metamorph pro?

Deleting apps is pretty easy if they're not listed. Just need to use root explorer and delete the apk from the phone.. and it's gone  | |

I found bars that I liked, but always had trouble applying them because they didn't play nice if it wasn't made specifically for that ROM.

Yeah I had problems with changing the status bar when I first installed Leofroyo 2.0.
After screwing around with MetaMorph and endless bootloops and nandbackups and restores I gave up and force myself to get used to the white status bar...
I really like the Galaxy S status bar Leo put up but it doesn't work.......

To uninstall some stock apps, go into leoparts->Apps&Addons->stock apps and then just untick whatever you don't need.

What's the best Froyo based custom rom? I'm on Modaco's 2.1 after find the stock 2.2 boring (although it's hella fast)
Any1 with Froyo based rom can share some insight?
