^ Yes, it will detect the optimal setting depending on frequencies available. Just installed ModaCo's Sense firmware. It's great to have all the HTC widgets. Seeing flash on the webkit is priceless... :D |

Titanium Backup will allow you to force move to SD http://www.droid-life.com/2010/06/06...-your-sd-card/ |
wow nexus one has a ton of cool accessories.. I might make the jump to it from this shitty ass x10 that STILL hasnt been rooted. fml. |
anyone get the Froyo update OTA yet? or did everyone flash their phone already? |
Is there a PDF reader on this thing? I get docs from work, so I kinda need it. Or can I save pdf's on a sd card and open them? Posted via RS Mobile |
^ I have MobilePDFviewer and works great. |
You guys using CyanogenMod? Was reading up on it, and it seems pretty cool. |
Is it easy to root and mod the N1? I dont want to do something wrong and accidentally brick my phone, and if i root it, the warranty gets voided, and there is no way no way to reverse it. |
^ Not yet... :D The root is pretty straight forward really. Just read through the how-to guide with caution and you should be fine. Once you have the bootloader installed you are set. |
What were your deciding factors for getting a Nexus One vs iPhone? Seems like iPhone has more apps available. |
Google apps support, true openness, custom firmware, better UI... etc most of apps on itunes are craps... with apple's limitation in place, there is very little can be done that's actually useful. A true multitasking provided by android is what makes android so much fun IMO. I can have MSN on all day, never miss a msg from buddy/clients/family and in the same time (waiting for reply from them) answering emails from others... this compare to iphone's one-at-a-time is so much more productive and intuitive. If your life rely somewhat on your phone (as a major mean of communication) you would pick Nexus One over iPhone any and every day. You can get so much more done on a Nexus than an iPhone. |
Gh0stRider has been slowly converting me over to the Nexus One. Total is US$573.96 shipped via FedEx overnight to Point Roberts Shipping to Canada is $27 and done through DHL which most likely means you'll get dinged for brokerage fees as well. Does the Nexus One have multitouch? ie. pinch to zoom like iPhone? |
^ Yep, multi-touch is on by default. |
How long was shipping for those of you that shipped it here to Vancouver? |

I did the calculation before and you really don't save much by having it shipped to Point Roberts. Shipped to Point Roberts: You get free overnight shipping but they charge you state tax. US$529+US$45=US$574 ~CAD$615 Now when you cross the border have to pay tax ~ CAD$74 Total ~ CAD$690 If you have it shipped to Canada: US$529+US$25shipping fee=US$554 ~ CAD$592 ppl report DHL charge about $76 in brokerage+tax Total ~ CAD$668 So in the end, it'll be actually cheaper to have it shipped to your door unless you don't plan to declare it at the border. |

I doubt anyone has gotten OTA froyo update since it's not officially out yet. Most likely flashing beta builds. |
I'm almost about to switch from a 9700... thoughts? :O |
