Always better to run final rather than the beta

Tim Budong 06-28-2010 11:45 PM

custom rom ftw!

Tim Budong 06-29-2010 03:27 AM

to boot, we should see FRF85B custom roms in a few hours to end of the day
at the same time, just waiting for HTC to release their froyo on the desire. It will make the Nexus One 100x better

i say get from google before they close the online webstore. After that, you will have to get off craigslist.

but ya, cheapest will be craigslist. save about 50-75 or more.

I've been scouring craigslist. Nothing really worth getting. I'm probably going to wait it out though...

Nexus One gets yet another Android 2.2 Froyo update, FRF91

http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/01/n...-update-frf91/

Quote:

Another day, another Froyo build. Now that Android 2.2 build FRF85 -- i.e. the big one that got pushed over-the-air to every Nexus One this week -- is out on the prowl, Google's taken it upon itself to release yet another update, FRF91. We've heard from a few tipsters that it's also going out OTA, but our devices have yet to be notified -- all the same, a direct link for the file has been found, so it's legit. Word on the street is it's just a security update, but we've to install it ourselves.

Wow just got my phone, played around with it. Successfully installed cyangenomod on it, it's freaking awesome! What applications are you guys running that are must have? I'm going to look into apps, its pretty new to me but any advices or resources on where to go would be great! I'm really looking forward to 2.2 cyangenomod, I bet that thing will kill.

FerrariEnzo 07-04-2010 03:10 PM

i want a nexus one too :(

mb_ 07-04-2010 07:16 PM

I might get an Android based phone this summer, what do you guys recommend? Not looking for anything fancy, something in between.

Stuff I'm mainly looking for:
- Good price/value ratio
- I'd love a hardware keyboard but I guess touch keyboard is fine just as long as it's pretty good
- Can be used as an MP3 player so 3.5mm jack is ideal
- Good web browsing

Price doesn't matter that much just as long as it's not outrageous
