Since you're in the nexus one thread everyone's gonna recommend Nexus one. Only alternative is HTC Triumph/Desire which are more or less the same. I'm currently using the Moto Milestone which does have a hardware keyboard but I find myself hardly ever using it.

Nexus One or the Milestone is prolly the closest ones i can think which are android based, could be more but i really havent looked into android phones yet.

What is the best 2.2 modded rom out so far? I am using cyanogen's mod which is 2.1, I heard 2.2 is in the making? Should I just wait for that or is there another 2.2 mod that is quite good? I'm really enjoying cyanogenmod at the moment, no complaints so far just it doesn't have flash support and I guess that is missing from 2.1->2.2?

Yeah I couldn't stand the neon green all over on the rodriguezstyle rom but I solved that with AWDlauncher.

Can people confirm that the N1 with latest update syncs with Gmail and notifies you even when the phone is unplugged and the screen is on? For some reason my brother's phone only syncs and notifies when the phone is turned on.

I just installed the new adw launcher, so awesome! Swipe up/down for new dock and hiding my status bar/brings up notifications. Everything is just available now to me with a single swipe/press.
Anyone have a working swype app? Beta is closed and the apk's I had has not worked so far on 2.1 cyanogenmod.
