I hate that! There's a lot of glitches though, like the pullback wrister that goes in 90% of the time if the D can't defend it. They kinda fixed wraparounds but I still see a guy get 4 goals a game from it from time to time.
I don't mind the glitchers as much as I used to cause we gotten so used to seeing it that we do a pretty good job of shutting it down. What really bugs me is when it's just me and one friend playing and we're both forward and caught up on the ice. There are so many cherrypickers and the "calling for a pass" move works so damn well that there's no way for us to get back to stop they from glitching. Then it gets frustrating.
But ya, all those glitch moves are nothing compared to the faceoff looping. You're in a tight game against a douchebag team that does every exploit there is in the game. You score the goal ahead goal with 20seconds left. BAM! Pause....faceoff loop....no win. Stress level over 9000!

One and one though, he was money.
I've said this before and I'll say this again, Kovalev is crap. His skill to hockey is like how And1 is to basketball. All the neat tricks don't translate well into real hockey that's why you never see him dominate the way Gretzky, Jagr, or any other highly touted players.
If he really is as good as advertised, he should be scoring 70g per season if scoring really was as easy as shooting wristers on your own blue line as per his video below. Also, I've never seen him dangle the puck with his feet around NHL players as per his promo video.
he shouldn't be makeing crosby/ovechkin money for what he brings to the game. he's willing to walk away from the best league in the world with the best talent just to get his money. players who love the game and want to win will take discounts much like a number of the signings the canucks have made this season.
Unlike the fans, hockey to NHL players are more than just "love of the game." It's an occupation
Especially when one's riches is not as far established as the long-time veterans of the game.

Got the news from James Mirtle from Globe & Mail.
I doubt it the existing contracts will be voided, but at least I hope this knocks down the so-called hockey pundits who think Luongo took a hometown discount.
Luongo is not a $5.5m goalie. He's an $8M goalie who signed until he's 42 to bring his cap hit down.

not saying kovalev is the best but he's godo when he wants to be. go youtube his highlights and you'd see some pretty crazy dangles from him. teh biggest knock against him is his consistency. he can't bring it every game adn seems uninterested most of the time but i think he's past his prime anyways.
and give me a break about not establishing his riches. THese guys get paid more than doctors do. He made 6 million last year or was it 7 mill? that's not enough money? obviously if you're in the position to make more, you'd want more. kovy is not a 10 mill/year player. the guy is phenomenal at putting the puck in the net but he doesn't play a good team game, takes selfish penalties and his defense game could be better. this guy wants to get paid more than he wants to win IMO. he should just go to the KHL and have his cheques bounced.

Uninterested most of the time? Or most of the time, his crap don't work? That's seriously bullshit if you believe that he turns it on and off at will.
Who doesn't want to score 60 goals and earn $8M + a year in your occupation.

Doctors retain their earning capacity until their retirement. Hockey players only have a small window in their late 20's/early 30's until their retirement or injuries.
All this "love of the game" is just your typical Disney sentimental bullshit. Yes undoubtedbly these guys love their hockey but at the end of the day, hockey has to pay the bills long after their career is done.
Secondly, neither is Luongo an $8M goalie but that's what he wanted and what he got. The only reason why Luongo is a cap hit of $5M and Kovalchuk at $6M is because both players are being signed past their forties. Seriously, other than the hype, what are Luongo's credentials that value him at $8M? A gold medal? A Vezina nomination? A 1st Round Play Off achievement?
Kovalev must be crap. 10 more points and he's in the 1000 point club, the third Russian to accomplish this feat. He's also got a ring, but no seriously, he's crap.
If you want an "AND1" hockey player take a look at Robbie Schremp, not Kovalev.

1 ring in 1994 and 1000 points must look good on its own but its not overwhelmingly amazing to me within the context of almost 20 yrs in the NHL. His best year of 44 goals is hardly a representation of the wizard his hype supposes that he is.
And if you're playing semantics with my usage of "crap." That's just as lame as calling me out on spelling & grammar. Everyone who can add 2 + 2 knew what I meant. When all is said and done, Kovalev is not going to down as one of the game's "Top Tier Players of All Time."
"The apparent purpose of this evidence is to suggest that the League's concern is late blooming and/or inconsistent. Several responses are in order: First, while the contracts have, in fact, been registered, their structure has not escaped League notice: those SPCs [standard player's contracts] are being investigated currently with at least the possibility of a subsequent withdrawal of the registration."
Canuck general manager Mike Gillis confirmed in an email to the Vancouver Sun Monday night that the league is indeed studying Luongo's 12-year, $64 million contract.
"We have complied with the NHL request for information and are awaiting further instructions," Gillis said. "Cannot say anything further at this point."
I seriously doubt anything will happen but it is interesting that the arbitrator decided that it would be possible to withdraw the registered contracts.
Breaking News: NHL conducts investigation into Luongo's contract. I'm so pissed!
I heard on News1130 radio this morning that the NHL under the elf Gary Bettman is investigating Luongo's 12 year, 64 million contract to determine if it circuments the salary cap.
First of all, I just want to say that for once Gary Bettman and the league did something sensible in rejecting Kovalchuk's $102 million contract. The NJ Devils were not negotiating in good faith when offering that huge deal to Kovy. Come on, offering $350,000 to Kovy in the last year of that 17 year contract, when he's still "playing NHL hockey" at 45 years old? The contract was a joke.
However, the league approved Luongo's contract a long time ago. The league is using Kovalchuk's contract as an excuse to start a hunt down all front loaded contracts, starting with Luongo's.
If I'm the Canucks GM Mike Gillis, I'd call the league office right now and file a complaint, a grievance. The NHL PA needs to get a player director who has the experience and the wisdom to stare down that elf Bettman and his cronies.
The Collective Bargaining Agreement expires in 2 years. What the league is doing is setting the stage for a long, bloody war between the owners and players.
As a Canucks fan and a hockey fan, I pray that nothing bad comes out of this investigation of Luongo's contract.
Donald Trump's signature line sums in my thoughts about Bettman: "YOU'RE FIRED!!" The NHL, the owners, the players, the fans, deserve a better commissioner than this bum!!!!!!!!
I've never liked Bettman as a commissioner. This latest NHL investigation is just one of that elf's pre-emptive strike against the players.
This investigation just shows the NHL's incompetence. Of course Kovi was not going honor the contract and play until age 45. Same goes for Hossa, Luongo Pronger, etc. None of these contracts were done in “good faith”. There’s an interview with Luongo when he signed the contact asking him if he’ll play the full contract and he had a chuckle. GM’s found a loophole in the salary cap system and have been using it to their advantage. That’s tough luck on the NHL. If they don’t like the way its structured wait until the next collective bargaining meeting and then think about changing the wording of the salary cap rules and contracts.

Everyone knew that Luongo was looking for $8M and that the 12 year term was done purely out of cap circumventing. This restriction that "may" be implemented on the Canucks will be the very same restriction that will stop franchises like Detroit, Chicago or any other teams teams stacked as well; the very same teams the Canucks have problems overcoming post-season.
If anything, the only thing the Canucks have a beef with is the NHL reneging on an OK'd contract; not wether or not the contract is considered cap circumvention.
Well since Lu is in net he can probably play longer than most players, even Hasek played till he was 43 in the NHL at least; hes in the KHL and hes 45 now..
