penalty shot, lucky first goal, burrows missing empty net... man o man..

Harvey Specter 04-24-2011 08:49 PM

The Canucks are one big cock tease.

If the Canucks lose on Tuesday I think I'm not gonna pau attention to anything hockey related. No more team1040, no sportsnet, no tsn.

It's not just the fact the Canucks may lose and blow a 3-0 lead, but to the FUCKING BLACKHAWKS WHO I HATE SO MUCH.

I have a feeling the stress will continue on until the Blackhawks get knocked off in the playoffs. Meaning I will feel this stress every time they play, hence no sportsnet or tsn.

But we will win on Tuesday.

Think the Canucks did well tonight.

They played hard and worked together. I felt that Schnider came out the goal post area little too much...but it showed he tried his best.

Schnider blocked many goals so thumbs up to him. Sad that he gave away a point at penalty shot. Damn, we were at 3-2...leading!! But sadly back at a tie.

Luongo stepped in and did his job well under pressure. Announcers giving him a hard time. But he's trying his best! That last shot from hawks was such a fluke but what can u do?

I blame a few jugement calls on the refs...they were not even calling fouls when hawks were knocking over the canucks...and what about that call when hawks hit the puck over the glass and into the stands...fxck!! they didnt say anything.
Even our guys pointed it out where exactly the puck hit and landed.

O well...chicago will always protect their own ppl...

Guess its game 7!! Go canucks go!! Lets do it for Vancouver and the fans!!

Likewise, I'm not sure I can handle much more of this. I still believe we will come through but this shiet is getting intense I may need to go smoke mad erbs and then suddenly tune in with seconds left.

Harvey Specter 04-24-2011 09:24 PM

Lol, what I can't handle is another OT. Fuck, I kept getting off my couch, standing and sitting back down. OT is way too intense for game 7's.

Better not. He's a good coach. Takes the team to the top of the league and then fire him for team losing first round?

canucks been blaming injuries and refs for years
suck it up and win a cup

Tapioca 04-24-2011 10:04 PM

Everyone needs to stop blaming the refs for the result. Sure, there were missed calls, but we had a lot of chances to bury it too. We lost as a result of a couple of small, but crucial mistakes. The Hawks made mistakes too, but we weren't able to capitalize on them.

The problem is that we've run out of chances. One bounce, or a brain fart, can now decide the series.

Ronin 04-24-2011 10:14 PM

No one can be accused of bandwagoning.

Losing 3 straight games after having a 3-0 series lead, playing amazing hockey...no fan can take this and still be optimistic about game 7. I hope they win but I don't have the confidence I had after game 2.

I'll watch. I'll wear my jersey. I'll be pleasantly surprised if they win...but anyone that says they think the Canucks will win game 7 is a liar.

Not exactly the same context (but probably similar in weight "President's Trophy vs. SCF") Penguins fired MT the season right after going to Game 6 of the SCF.

Pens then go on to win the Stanley Cup the next year with a new coach, Dan Bylsma.

Not really racist! 04-24-2011 10:19 PM

I hate to say it... I should have hope.. and faith.. no matter what as a fan.. but for some reason I don't...

Hopefully I'm just wrong....... that is all.

No, if LA ends up beating SJ, it will be VAN vs LA, and DET vs NAS.

Ahhhh this OT stuff is so stressful... I had no appetite after Chicago scored...

They fired him becuase they were sitting near the bottom of the Eastern Conference at that time of the season. Bylsma came in and got them into 5th I think and took them to the cup finals.

I can't blame you dude. I don't even want to read the headlines on tsn.ca, espn, etc... and I won't be watching any hockey up until 7pm on Tuesday because I can't bare to hear anything about the Canucks. When things go bad for this team, they go bad and it seems like they never recover and leave their fans shocked.

Gumby 04-24-2011 10:28 PM

Anybody notice, Hodgson & Torres got benched after their penalties...

Like I said, it's not a comparison of context, but of weight of previous success...

Because you know, the comment about AV is all about the merits of keeping him based only on previous success (ableit reg. season) but absolutely questionable future success (post season).

tonyzoomzoom 04-24-2011 10:31 PM

any news on Salo and Schneider?

btw, you guys are getting way ahead of yourselves when talking about firing coaches and whatnot. We still have a game on Tuesday. We are still in the playoffs. Have faith. I happen to like our chances on Tuesday.

well if Salo is out, at least we have the benefit of depth in Ballard (first and foremost). And knowing AV, we will get to see him contribute for a whopping 4 mins per game :D

Have some faith guy. The lakers almost got owned by the thunder last year and they ended up winning the championship. We can do it too and finally fight off the inner demon against chitown.
