^ also curious why you blame AV for game 6.
Thanks.

Teams lose. Someone has to. Expecting the Canucks to never lose is just silly. I think all real fans want is for them to give it all they got rather than play like they don't care.

I don't blame them for losing game 6. The goals against were retarded but they played hard. I sort of blame AV for game 6.

I want to agree with you, but I don't.
If the Canucks lose "by an inch or a mile", it's still a lost and a disappointment
considering they shit the bed in game 4 and 5. And didn't even get farther
in the post season than last season.

We're already an established 2nd round team. We were expected to go the
whole way this season. A 1st round exit would be devastating regardless how
hard they tried. The job didn't get done.

Having the 3-0 series lead, it would probably be the biggest choke job in NHL history. I still think we have a great shot tomorrow if we play like yesterday but it's a scary thought to think they could potentially blow a lead like that after the season they had.

InvisibleSoul 04-25-2011 12:39 PM

I actually penned these lyrics before Game 5, but didn't do anything with them... but I thought the song seems kind of fitting.

I'm thinking if someone cared to spend some time and effort on it, they could make a pretty cool video out of it... but I don't have that time.

Anyways, the lyrics are to Diddy & Skylar Grey - Coming Home.

We're coming home
We're coming home
Tell the world we're coming home
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
We know our kingdom awaits and they've forgiven our mistakes
We're coming home, we're coming home
Tell the world that we're coming...

Back where we belong, yeah we never felt so strong
We feel like there's nothing that we can't try
And if you with us put your hands high
If you ever cheered a goal before, this one's for you
And you, the dreams are for you

We hear "The Chelsea Dagger"
We hate that song
We feel like they mocking us when it comes on
Another day another dawn
Another game, nice to beat ya, finished you off and you're gone
What are you supposed to do when the red light comes on
Its easy to be Roberto, it's harder to be Luuuu
What if the twins make your D look silly
Damn, how do you respond?
What if our fans cheer to bring the house down
Or Bieksa, Glass or Oreskovich beat you to the ground
Damn right, we ain't finished playing
Another night the inevitable prolongs
Another game another win
Just tell Edler and Ehrhoff to keep releasing those bombs
Another weapon that we carry on
We need to get to the place that we belong

We're coming home
We're coming home
Tell the world we're coming home
Let the rain wash away all the pain of yesterday
We know our kingdom awaits and they've forgiven our mistakes
We're coming home, we're coming home
Tell the world that we're coming...

If the canucks dont win tomorrow, I think it ranks up there with the bruins choke job last year.

Bruins were up 3-0 against philly, philly rallied to force a game 7. Bruins were up 3-0 in game 7 and lost the game 4-3 I believe.

hotshot1 04-25-2011 12:43 PM

One potentially good thing about game 7 being here in Van is that at the end of the 3rd, if the Canucks are gonna win for sure, there will be "na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good bye" chants.

I'm at the point where I don't give a shit how it's done.
Just get it done so everyone can relax.

I have avoided forums, twitter, and qthe radio because the discussion is all talk. Argue all about the calls or non calls day after day, it's the end result that matters. I always say good teams find ways to overcome all the conspiracy talk. I believe the team has what it takes to get it done.

calgary flames did that to canucks a few years ago
i like the canucks but they can't do anything in the playoffs
sj or det will take it from the west
wsh or bos will take it from the east

dachinesedude 04-25-2011 01:10 PM

so it was the my first time watching a nashville preds game yesterday, what the hell was that chant the fan always did?

JesseBlue 04-25-2011 01:22 PM

did anyone feel that the loss last night wouldn't have been bad if the previous two games had the same type of intensity/emotion/closeness to it...

i certainly felt that way...

Gillis just called out the officiating

trancehead 04-25-2011 01:28 PM

A bunch of writers on OTR supported Schneider starting in game 7. Whats the consensus here?

!Nhan 04-25-2011 01:32 PM

On a different note, is any one disappointed that Visnovsky didn't get nominated for the Norris and Lidstrom did? Sure Lids is an awesome D-Man, but finished -2 in the season shouldn't get you nominated.

Schneids should get it but Lu will get it just because he's Luongo and we have him signed for 32 more years

Better to call it now when we still have the to play instead of after when our season could possibly be over. With this, the officiating will be under the microscope even more. Hopefully the game will be called down the middle. And is that really too much to ask for?

I'm in the same boat. I don't need to hear shit go back and forth and all the complains , shoulda coulda woulda's.

I'm looking forward to a strong game tomorrow. At the end I'll be shedding a tear of joy or one of sadness.

fsy82 04-25-2011 01:51 PM

Bigtime disappointed. He outscored all 3 nominees, had the best +/- of the top scoring D-men... I wouldn't expect him to win but to not even get a nomination? SNUB.

Why should Schneider get the start? The guy was at 100% at fault for the Hawk's 2nd goal and at least 50% on their 1st.

Don't get me wrong, I like Schneider. But those are hardcore rookie goalie mistakes and you can't afford that shit game 7.
