Rogers Arena should show a bunch of tribute videos to fire them up.

For somone as smart as yourself, you stoop to the level that only the most ignorant fans of the game use in their defense

Have fun watching the oilers toil in mediocrity for the remaining life of the franchise.

You kidding?

The Oilers have 5 Cups and their current lineup has 3-4 potential superstar level players plus probably another in the draft next year. Hall and Eberle are almost sure bets.

The Oilers will be competitive next year or the year after that at the latest.

Anyone remember what Schneider wrote on his pad for inspiration? Can't find it anywhere but it was deep shits.

Not all picks = mega stardom or overall success for the franchise. The team has way too many pieces to fill before they can be "competitive". And lets not forget the off ice issues like the new arena which the team desperately needs and rumors about Quebec that hang in the balance.

pads? or blocker?

He has masking tape stuck on his blocker reading
“Don’t fear failure. Compete 100%. Enjoy the process. Play for others.”

seeing the flag on schneid's helmet reminds me of how many Americans we have. Kesler, Ballard, Alberts, Schneid

Spidey 04-26-2011 01:30 PM

he didn't fear failure... he fears the CRAMPS!......

he made a couple great saves.. but he basically gave away 1 goal.. the first is questionable as hamhuis is the one that got levelled... but the 2-2 goal was giftwrapped... and his save % was under 90.. not really knocking him because he has been great all regular season, but it's hard to believe people would choose him over Lu just because... If philly can win with their goaltending.. we better win with Luongo...

Better than 40 years of failure defining yours.

Hamhuis was set up by Schneider to get leveled lol. He needs to stay in net and let the D play the puck.

no team will ever succeed having to overpay FA's, thats reality

and no one will take market value to play in Edmonton, quite possibly the worst location of any NHL franchise

Eberle, Pajarvi, Gagne, Cogliano, those players are all exactly the same, and none of them outside of Eberle are game breakers

take oilers current team, add another first round pick, and 2 more role players of your choice, and even then, tell me they can beat a San Jose or Detroit in a 7 game series, it aint happening, none of the players that have, or will be getting are a Toews, Kane, type player.

so hard to focus on my school work... Can't stop thinking of which form of Canucks will
show up tonight. Which Luongo will show up tonight? (Or Schneider??)

And some gut feeling keeps telling me Canucks will be leading by 1, with the Blackhawks forcing OT with the extra attacker.
Then everyone will have a heartattack.

I will watch, but I don't know if I can take watching the 3rd if we're down or up by a small margin.

My gut tells me that the Hawks will get a 2-goal lead early in the game and that we'll spend the last 2 periods trying to tie it up.

I disagree. I could see Eberle developing into a Toews-esque player, minus the seriousness. Both were amazingly clutch during their respective World Junior tournaments.

Couldn't sleep past 6am.. too nervous!
