Bertuzzi just got cut on his wrist and dropped both his gloves and stick and took off to the dressing room.

murd0c 04-29-2011 07:34 PM

Not trolling.

I feel like if your going to go to a rival game you should expect the worse.

IMO they are just attention whores.

anyone have a better stream of the DET/SJS game than vodkasports?

edit: nvm! http://www.sports-billet.eu/nhl1.html

Why are the Canuck home games at 6pm??

spoon.ek9 04-29-2011 07:59 PM

probably to accommodate the nashville fans..? a co-worker and i were discussing this and couldn't make too much sense out of it because chicago is in the same time zone as nashville.

Maybe they don't want Carrie Underwood to stay up too late or it will ruin her beauty sleep.

Probably so games finish earlier - crowd control?? More money for downtown clubs and bars? More time for people to get home?

I doubt it has anything to do with the other team. We don't owe anyone shit.

spoon.ek9 04-29-2011 08:15 PM

1-1, pavelski scores.

Tim Budong 04-29-2011 08:15 PM

Chicago and detroit has a lot of fans that will stay up to 12AM watching a game, not so much Nashville.

Gumby 04-29-2011 08:21 PM

Wow, Tampa Bay drew first blood in their series against Washington...

RRxtar 04-29-2011 08:27 PM

More than likely the games start at 6 so CBC can get eastern viewers to watch the game and up ratings because there are no eastern canada teams left. So theres no 4pm games so they can push our games up. 7pm games our time are 10pm in the east so not many people will stay up to watch them.

RiceIntegraRS 04-29-2011 08:30 PM

^probably right. But i find it soo much harder to get somewhere to watch the game on time.

I doubt it has anything to do with the city of Vancouver.
If anything, it hurts us more. Many people get off work at 5pm, and some people can take almost an hour to commute home. It's really rushed.

This seems to be the most logical answer...

carisear 04-29-2011 08:42 PM

^ just wait until we get to the stanley cup finals -- (yes, we WILL get there) our home games will be 4:30 or 5:00p. SUPER lame.

i remember the chaos '94 was with everyone rushing their asses off to get home in time for the game.

spoon.ek9 04-29-2011 08:50 PM

uh oh, penalty to detroit in OT heh.

oooo 4min, double minor

spoon.ek9 04-29-2011 08:55 PM

nooooo SJS wins in OT

DsZ24 04-29-2011 08:57 PM

Deflection off the stick, no chance for howard. sj wins. Lets hope every game in this series goes to overtime to wear em down :)

AzNightmare 04-29-2011 08:59 PM

ooooohh SJS just scored in OT.
Wow, haven't heard that "song" in a long time.

na na na na HEY! na na na na na

Didn't Canucks used to use that song whenever they scored?

Why was that a 4min PP anyway? I didn't see any blood.
Was it Stuart that just overhead threw his stick after the goal? :lol

A lot of teams did
The Avs still use it? correct me if wrong
The Avs BLASTED that song all the time at the pepsi center

jigga250 04-29-2011 09:07 PM

I hope SJ wins the series in 7 long OT games. Wings fans are so cocky and I think SJ would be easier next round (look at how far a decimated LA team pushed them....6 games, with 3 of their wins in OT?

I think cause technically nashville is on the east coast isnt it? probably to accommodate the fans over there?

murd0c 04-29-2011 09:20 PM

It's good to see basically a rookie who got 9 points all season get the OT winner. Man that must of felt awesome for him.

Chicago and Nashville are in the same Time Zone so I still don't see why.
