Did they call that too many men because they almost put a 6th man on ice? (skates didn't touch ice but feet were over the boards)

Figured this would be a good place to ask....
Anyone ever sit in a 500 level suite at Rogers Arena? Bunch of friends want to see a concert there but we can't get a 200 level box, just a 500. Are they decent for games, concerts? They look like they're waaaay the hell up there.

The view from Level 200 suites are better i think. Level 400 and 500 are a bit too high IMO

platinum300, think about what you're saying before you speak you tool. | What do you mean you can't blame Luongo for the goal? That's gotta be one of the worst goals I've seen in this whole playoffs... you can't let shit like that in at any time int he game let alone late in a 1-0 game.................... I love the Canucks, but that's just sloppy ass not concentrating play from him on that one which is a tragedy even moreso because he played awesome the first 58 minutes.

the canucks need to start scoring. period. it isn't like they aren't getting chances.. they just need to start burying them and getting that 2-0 lead on a team like the preds. the preds arent coming back from any 2 goal deficit the way they play the game.. and if they open things up, it is game over, with the canucks offensive talent and speed. I am not worried one bit .

thats one thing for me, I always thought that Schnieds has better movement post to post than luongo.
as to reply to previous post.. Raymond has been great so far... | Luongo went down too early. He went down on the pass for some reason... then started shuffling across instead of making a smooth butterfly slide across.
Combined with Halischuk placing a perfect top corner shot.
Rinne played amazing, but wasn't perfect either, but a lot of Canucks' shot, like the Bieksa one in OT, went right at him, low to the ice.
How has Raymond been great so far? He's been useless for being a top 6 forward so far. Only Samuelsson has been more underachieving. Quote:

Hey Bieksa, I know a very good Optometrist. Let me know if you need your eyes checked. Bieksa should of scored in the 1st OT, but instead he makes Pekka Rinne look good and shoots it at him - I could of scored on that shot with my eyes closed.
It's frustrating watching Raymond play. His line mates work so hard to win the puck in the offensive end, and Raymond coughs it up by either falling on his ass or making a feeble attempt to shoot the puck.
This could be a momentum win for the Predators. Just hope the Canucks can bounce back. | Luongo's mistake was extremely sad. He was having such a great game and he lost focus on that last one.
I wouldn't put blame on him for the game as a whole, because trying to win 1-0 like this is going to cost the Canucks.
Shooting half the amount of shots against the opponent is going to cost you games.
Canucks had many chances to put this game away, and they didn't.
All your other points are quite valid. Bieksa DID shoot it right at Rinne, despite having the left and entire top part of the net wide open.
Props for Rinne to at least dive back and cover as much of the net as he could.
I'm a bit disappointed, because it would have been nice to get in the Preds' head, thinking there's no way to score on Luongo.

they were saying on the post game that they're not going to allow fans (such as the green men) to "harass" the players, kind of ridiculous imo.

Find that extra gear, lead by example and inspire the team to do the same.
As for the soft goal, they happen. They suck, but they happen. Lu just had to have the paddle down and he didn't. Shit happens. Overall he had an outstanding game... and right about now I'd be blaming the rest of the team for not potting another goal or two for insurance. Which brings me to my 3rd point:
Rinne... what can you say? Some of those saves were unbelievable. Sometimes goalies steal a game for the team, Rinne did that last night.
Luongo, Kes, Burr and the D need to keep playing as they are. If the Sedins continue to fail to produce, they at least need to show everyone they give a shit and really pick up the effort level. I hope AV's move last night (making Kes' line #1) gives them some incentive, which apparently they need... true leaders, however, do not.

It's all good though, kids - not gonna sweep every round, there's gonna be a loss or two. Good news is, despite the loss, and unlike a couple of the losses to Chicago, Lu was solid. The tying goal was one of those fluke shots that goalies both love and hate - love it, of course, because they can't really be blamed for letting it in.

They're just replaying it now on the morning news, Louie talking about that very goal - it was a centering pass (looking at it again, maybe even meant to be a pass around BEHIND the net), thrown from the corner BEHIND the goal line, that went off a Canuck stick and then deflected off Lu's stick and then off his skate.
It wasn't even a shot on goal; it's pure fluke and you can't blame anyone for it.

Like that Chicago game, we really needed that insurance goal. Everyone would look past the first ugly goal completely if we managed to score an insurance goal.
edit: also for most of the game, you can't argue that Lu didn't try. up until the first goal he let him, he was pretty stellar. but yeah, i haven't seen the replay on tv or anything yet, it just looked like a bad shot going off his skate/pads and redirected in.

Yes, pure fluke, but goalies should always have their paddle down locked against the post during that play. Luongo didn't. That is his mistake, which ultimately cost us the game.

It wasn't even a shot on goal; it's pure fluke and you can't blame anyone for it. | Whatever man, you just love to say the opposite of anything I say, always have and always will for some reason you've always had an inexplicable hate-on for me............ if Rinne let that puck in, you would have laughed/shook your head. It's a stupid not concentrating goal, who cares if it's random or "deflected" if he's tight up against the post (not *cheating* to a guy supposedly in the slot that should be the responsibility of the backcheck anyway -- goalie always takes the shooter/puck carrier, everyone who actually plays knows that) and positionally sound, that stops at the side of the net covered for a whistle. BTW go watch the replay again, it never touched a single Canucks stick/skate just so you know. Straight from the end boards, from well behind the net, off his pad, and in.
Obviously nothing can do about it, and like someone else mentioned the Canucks should have been up at least 3-0, but we weren't, so it's just more of a giant piss-off than anything so sorry for "venting" my frustration at Luongo's lapse in concentration with 1:10 left in a 1-0 game. As I already mentioned, he played awesome for 59/60 minutes, more tragic than anything that nobody will remember those saves due to this gaff.
