I think many of u guys seem to forget that the sedins get all the attention from the top pairing dmans night in and night out. Thats no excuse not to score but it does open up space for guys like kesler and higgins etc. Its playoff hockey guys, our top line is damn important but i think we've seen with so many stanley cup champ teams that its usually going to be the 3rd + 4th line guys that are gonna make the difference.

Regardless everyone here is just huge fans and want them to do well, but the Sedins will find their groove!!

GO NUCKS GO!

Greenstoner 05-04-2011 07:28 AM

so any news on the green men ? what happen to them

woob 05-04-2011 07:56 AM

They were chilling in the upper bowl I think. They had a short interview with Scott Oake during the game, after which Glenn Healy went back on what he said before and was all like "I love the green men! It was Nashville that bitched!"

Conclusion: Healy is a sleazeball.

Weber/Suter were on the Kesler line for Game 2 and it seems like they were on Kesler again yesterday. So even then they still aren't producing. I mean its still no excuse look at DET, SJ, TAMPA. All their go to guys are getting it done.

Its not really a big deal unless we start losing, so let's hope something happens by then.

sonick 05-04-2011 08:24 AM

^ SOB was on the ice for all three goals, Weber and Suter were assigned to the Sedins last night.

here is a video of the green men and the game

spoon.ek9 05-04-2011 09:03 AM

man, healy is such a bitch, what a flip flop. if you believe in something, stand up for it. i don't care whether or not you like the green guys but at least have the balls to own up to your comments.

Alatar 05-04-2011 09:18 AM

You didn't see the Scott Oake interview, I take it, Greenstoner.

They were just like any other fans out there since they were a few rows back, not by the penalty box.

Spidey 05-04-2011 09:18 AM

what's with cbc hiring a bunch of hasbeen goalies to do analyzing? healy, hrudey.. those 1 are a bunch of douches that were mediocre goalies in their time at best.. at least kevin weekes is stomachable.

Greenstoner 05-04-2011 09:21 AM

yeah, was doing something during the game... so missed parts of the game here and there

totally missed the green men

I find Kelly Hrudey pretty interesting, but Kevin Weekes?!

cbc has gone downhill beginning with them parting ways with the HNIC anthem.

Does anyone have the clip of Ovechkin being tripped down and no penalty shot was called?

"Don Cherry noted on Tuesday that Dan O’Rourke did not call a penalty shot because Washington’s Alex Ovechkin embarrassed him by looking to him after he’d been hauled down on a breakaway. “You can’t do that. You keep your mouth shut,” said Cherry. Well, glad we have that cleared up. The sad thing is that Cherry’s probably right."

What did Ovechkin do? and how did he embarrass a ref?
I don't comprehend. And aren't penalty shots signalled the minute the other team
gains possession after the trip, and the ref doesn't make the call based on the victim's reaction... ?

I would take Hrudey over Weekes, Kevin is just terrible.

Ovechkin didnt do anything wrong, he thought it was a penalty shot and he lobbied for it. Cherry believes guys like ovechkin should never open there mouths for some reason.

I was very happy that V put Burrows back with the Sedins. Kess is playing so well he will still succeed without Burr. You just can't stop him.

Sedins looked better but were still on the ice for goals against. Ah well we got this one and now on to the next!

Btw agree that Ovechkin has good reason to want a penalty shot and I don't think he "embarrassed the ref"

DanHibiki 05-04-2011 11:06 AM

Gotta admit. The penalty call in OT was pretty weak.

Total make up call for the Bieksa boarding hit that wasn't called.

AzNightmare 05-04-2011 11:09 AM

Until Canucks are getting more decisive wins (by results), I'm still saying
the series could go anyway with one or two flukey goals. I'll get more excited when Canucks win two more... cause so far, it's still "been here, done that"

I'm kind of glad Canucks dropped a game, cause if they were up 3-0 and I hear a bunch of idiots chanting sweep and taking out brooms again, I'm gonna get pissed. At least, this also keeps the players in check, that the series is not done in the bag. They got over-confident last series, and were one goal away from pissing away a 3-0 series lead.

I saw the reply on TV highlights just once, and didn't see anything wrong.
He just looked at the ref with his hands up expecting a penalty shot signal that never happened. I don't know what the commentators were talking about. Every player does that.

Don Cherrys a tool and OVIE hater

I take his opinion with a grain of salt.

During his rant he stuttered and messed up because he realized when the replay was shown in another angle he was wrong.

Don Cherry said Ovie looked at the ref while he was on the break away and then fell down. However Ovie didn't

Hondaracer 05-04-2011 11:53 AM

What Cherry says is law

Even if I didnt know the question and you asked me what i thought oposed to Cherry I would say I'm with Cherry.

european 05-04-2011 11:59 AM

The green men are awesome! I feel the NHL is going way over board with this thing.

JSS 05-04-2011 01:00 PM

did anyone catch Boudreau's comments about the ref's and tampa's final goal after the caps game?

he was WAY more blunt about it then what gillis said about the reffing during the chicago series... if Boudreau dosent get fined by the NHL... the canucks should raise a fuss because thats a bunch of BS.

Somehow i'd rather we grind out the results than win by huge margins... its consistency and determination that counts in the playoffs, not just hockey but any sport.
