Kesler for Captain |

and his skating abilities with the puck ...but ur right....its much better to put Rome in... cuz the best thing to do is to always chip the puck off the boards from our zone |
Gotta love playoffs and seeing the great stories of 3rd/4th line players taking center stage. Good on Joel Ward. 6 goals already? He only had 10 all season long. Bergenheim? Downie? Wow. Remember back in 2006 when Fernando Pisani got 14 goals and 18 points in 24 playoff games? |
I wonder if they will finally put Ballard back on. Haven't you guys noticed majority of the time Ballard plays we win??????? Chicago Game 7 for example Ballard made some incredible hits and created some momentum Ballard > Rome I swear Ballard fucked Vigneaults wife or smth |
Ward and Byfuglien have a strange resemblence..... http://3.cdn.nhle.com/photos/mugs/8468208.jpghttp://2.cdn.nhle.com/photos/mugs/8470834.jpg Spoiler! |
It is very unfortante that not only are the Sedins nto producing offensively, but their numbers defensively are horrible. They are single handedly losing the games for the Canucks in terms of being on the ice for literally all the goals. Kind of odd when you think that when the Sedins are on, it is the Preds 3rd or even 4th line grinders out there... Which means, the Preds bottom 2 lines are the ones producing. Something needs to be done. The Sedins don't have the speed to backcheck, or create a decent odd man rush, especially against a team like Nashville. If henrik is hurt, and the twins are showing no signs of really producing in a game, AV should throw the kesler out there majority of the time, and roll the bottom 2 lines/double shift Burrows in there. There reallly is no point putting out the Sedins if they are just going to be either a MINUS or just out there giving the other lines a rest. They aren't even attracting the Preds top D pairing anymore. At least everyone in the 2-4th line is diong very well. I still think if this is the case where one line is hampering the team, even if it is their first line, they need to get reduced ice time. |
Hard to believe all the Sedin hate. Sure I'd like to see a Kesleresque playoff performance from them, but let's be serious. They've been here, what, 10 yrs? Has anyone seen one inkling of grit out of them? Nope! But ya, bench them, they suck. Y'know, Art Ross' and Hart trophies come a dime a dozen. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they've been playing up to par for their standards, but blaming them for the Canucks losing is absolutely insane. Guess what? The Preds beating the Ducks (who everyone around here feared most) wasn't a fluke. They're a well coached team who absolutely deserve to be here. Anyone who looks past them is in for a big surprise, they have to be taken seriously. Maybe other fans across the league are right; Canucks fans just might be the worst fans. I just read 3-4 pages of Sedin / Edler hate and its usually Luongo. Vezina candidate, but terrible goalie in many Vancouverite's eyes. Sad really. Go Canucks. Posted via RS Mobile |
there was talk about splitting up the sedins until they get something going and honestly, i don't think it's a bad idea at this point. the sedins have the worst +/- if any players in the post season which really surprises and disappoints me. i mean, they've played on separate lines in the past so why not try to put daniel on a line with kesler? have someone else on the wings with henrik? the two of them combined just aren't producing much of anything right now. also, where are all the people who looked at the loss of malhotra as nothing? clearly it has changed the make up of our team. the 3rd line of torres-malhotra-hansen was a distinct shutdown line leaving both the 1st and 2nd line as scoring threats. the only problem we had at that point was a 4th line not doing much. i'm so grateful that gillis picked up lappy and higgy. they've done an excellent job for us so far. if the sedins can somehow get their game going and actually produce instead of give up goals, the canucks will be a very hard team to beat. at this point, it seems like we're just squeaking by. x2 for kesler as captain, his game has not only elevated, it's SKYROCKETING! my first two jerseys will definitely be Kesler and Burrows. The Preds did beat the Ducks, yes, but I have watched every single game in this series, and the Preds do not have any respect from me. Any team can stay in a game within a goal or even a tie playing the way they do.. Line up at the bluline and dump the puck in. An AHl team can stay close doing it all game long. You can argue it works, but when the Canucks knock them out of the series, the only thing that worked was keeping close game in and game out while being outshot 2:1. |

If only we could clone kesler :fullofwin: |
Sedins = no grit and determination? When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Swedish national hockey team. Same thing. Could it just be coincidence? It's just the way the Sedins are. I'm not complaining. Without them, we would not have had such a successful season. Schneider in net on Monday just because????? I think Luigi needs a good rest. The guy has been working so hard he deserves a rest. |

If the Canucks had a goalie like that in the playoffs, we'd sweep/mow down all teams in the NHL. |

You should get a Kesler jersey and put a "C" on it to prove a point. All Canucks fans who have a Kesler jersey should do it to send a message to the brass, who have screwed up the assigning of the "C" in the last little while. |
i'd like to see them try to split the sedins up to get them going. its been proven that they can play without each other. given the way they have played, it may be worth a shot. |

As usual, I'm over the negativity after a good night's sleep. We really only have to make a few tweeks to win tomorrow. We've dominated 4 of 5 games so far so don't expect tomorrow to be any different. Barring some lucky bounces an yet another huge performance by Rinne, series should be done and rest til Friday. Looking forward to it. |
