Too bad it shows Bieksa needs to look at the puck to do anything with it. The best players can keep their head up and stickhandle without even looking at it.

You sure he's not doing it on purpose cuz he's conscious of the fact he has a helmet cam on? I mean... if it was just video of the boards as he skates around and we can't see what's going on... that would be pretty boring. I doubt he got to this level without being able to do things without looking at the puck

I'm pretty sure they'd tilt the helmet cam down so you can see what the player is doing. If they made the camera facing forward you'd just see the glass and over top other player's heads.

You realize the camera is mounted to point downwards on the helmet...

just out curiosity, anyone planning to check out the new store on opening day?
Went yesterday, bunch of $10 Canucks T Shirts, $25 hoodies, they had the older style vintage white jerseys for only $30. No name on the back of course and to no surprise they were all like XXL. It was an aight store with some solid prices but lacking in variety.

There was only 2-3 actual hits in that video. The rest were just clutching and grabbing. Whoever made that needs to go look up what hitting in hockey really means.
In the dictionary, there would be a picture of Willie crushing Toews as he came out of a penalty box.

You can see him look up normally when he goes to take the shot, however.

Don't forget any of Scott Stevens' career ending hits to Lindros or his clobbering of Kariya.

most likely a repost from years before... but caught wind of this in an article and made me remember how awesome Gino was...
did some googling and came across this chapter in one of canucks history books... reading up on it, learning about how he befriended bure, and how he stood up against Keenan defending Linden before he was traded away choked me up... i almost felt tears coming on. good read.
