Canucks make team decision to join Kesler in Nashville for Game 6

by Brian Lynchon May 9, 2011at 11:03 AM

Reports have confirmed that the entire Vancouver Canucks roster has made the trip to Nashville for an all-important Game 6 matchup against the Predators.

Initial speculation was that the Canucks would be sending centre Ryan Kesler alone, a move that would have reflected the team's strategy so far in this best-of-seven series, and especially in Game 5 on Saturday night.

But because the Livonia, Michigan, native failed to eliminate the Preds in that match, after leading the series 3-1, the Canucks have asked the rest of their players to be available for the game in Nashville tonight. Word is they feel Kesler may need help in achieving his goal of advancing to the Western Conference finals.

Whether Kesler’s teammates will actually play remains a game-time decision.

Kerry Fraser has a column on TSN, and it's quite interesting to hear things from a former ref's view:

Anybody else find it weird how Vancouver didn't get the Saturday night slot considering Hockey Night in Canada is usually a Saturday affair?

Yea, took them awhile to get it up, but it worked in the end.

Didn't end up buying though, I was only pulling up $306 in 3 of the 4 upper bowl corners, each like row 12+. And a couple around the face off circles like row 9+ for $356.

Anyone have an idea how much tickets are from scalpers during game day? After puck drop? etc?

Found the person that was responsible for holding the Canucks flag during the Royal Wedding. They posted it on the Canucks Fan Zone part of the site

Demand during game day is still there. You'll occasionally luck out from scalpers outside the arena ~1/2 hour before the game. Tickets do end up being significantly cheaper after puck drop and you can get them for below face value.

Might be forced to do that if the ticket options you got were during the presale.

TM face value. But most likely he got them through season tickets/ice pack, in which case the $712 is expensive.

HonestTea 05-10-2011 11:03 AM

Are you kidding me?! all sold out?!!
