Well that drafting, signing and trading for every African they could get their hands on hasn't helped much. Does this mean we see a new direction since the demographics in Winnipeg will be different? Maybe trade some of those black guys for natives?
I can't decide whether to Thank this or Fail it, but I did lol.

Seattle seems like a decent place to experiment with a hockey team. 11,000 seats isn't much but 11,000 full seats beats 7,000 and 10,000 empties elsewhere in the United States. Might be worthwhile to test it out there and if 11,000 seats sell, make plans for an arena.
Seattle is so much like Vancouver. It could work.

LOL so you trade Anthony Stewart, Evander Kane, Buttfugly, Johnny Oduya for Aaron Asham, Jordin Tootoo, Rene Bourque and Kyle Chipchura? Apparently Carey Price is native as well.

PNW is a pretty good hockey area; they have five WHL teams: Seattle Thunderbirds, Everett Silvertips, Tri-City Americans (Kennewick/Pasco/Richland in the south-east), Spokane Chiefs, and Portland Winterhawks. Everett especially has some insane fans - attendance at Giants games when the 'Tips visit typically swells by a couple thousand of travelling fans and their cowbells.

What happened to the arena where sonics played?? Isn't that building standard NBA facility? So 15k+.
I'm just surprised buttman isn't pushing for another US team location instead. Posted via RS Mobile
I know one player on the Thrashers who has already asked his agent to look to get him out if they move the team to Winnipeg lol.
Which will make everyone who stays an even bigger star. Winnipeg's new team doesn't have to be a contender to be successful. The city will just be happy they have something to do 41 nights a year.

Key Arena wasn't even good enough to keep an NBA team, let alone moving an NHL team there

Key Arena is a dump, that is the main reason the Sonics moved, because the city wouldn't build a new arena. Key Arena also has a horrible configuration for hockey, it wasn't built with hockey in mind.
Portland might be more ready for an NHL team with the Rose Garden able to facilitate a hockey setup properly. Paul Allen, the owner of the Seahawks and Trailblazers, who also owns the company that owns the Rose Garden, has in the past expressed passing interest in an NHL team.
^^ yeah that would be sweet if we got another NW team. PHX built an arena when the jets moved, so I am sure Seattle can too. We'd kick minny out to a central division
I was in Key Arena in March and it is beyond horrible. The Rose garden in portland is a copy of Rogers arena and would be a perfect spot for a NHL team.
“This is classic taunting behaviour within the model of a what we call a female chauvinist pig,” Catherine Murray, the chairwoman of Simon Fraser University’s department of gender, sexuality, and women's studies, told 24 hours.
“I don’t know if it’s something many Lower Mainland fans would support.”
The incident happened late in the third period when the woman lifted up her Canucks jersey and pressed her breasts against the penalty box glass.
A source said the woman – who was ejected from the building and upstaged the absent Green Men – was intoxicated and embarrassed by her antics.
While the CBC received a few e-mails about the incident, Canucks hockey blogger Katie Maximick is not amused.
“Thirty-six per cent of the NHL fan base is female, and this woman – who probably isn’t even a real fan but a bandwagon jumper – is setting women back. It doesn’t give female hockey fans a very good rep.”
What planet are these people from? I dunno about anyone else, but every single woman on my FB friends that's commented on this, has enjoyed it. Every. Single. One. Not one negative comment.

The incident was reminiscent of 2004 when euphoric female hockey fans flashed their breasts in the streets when the Calgary Flames were battling for the Stanley Cup against Tampa Bay.
“We are definitely beginning to see some nudity or partial nudity in fan behaviour in soccer, but not in hockey,” Murray said.
"Beginning"??
These women (to use the term loosely) need to come out from under their rocks.

Seattle is not a hockey town, and its an even worse bandwagon fanbase than vancouver. They already have the Seahawks and Mariners, and look at how far and fast the Mariners attendance drops after they have a couple bad seasons. Portland will have a team before Seattle, which is to say, probably never. Portland is too small to support 2 pro teams.

thats so stupid....its all fun n games.. i think these ladies that are ranting r just living old school
i also think its a difference in culture as well... i mean look at the european ladies..they flaunt their "twins" like its nothing
i mean shes just giving a little canuck spirit...
i think in support of this..all ladies attending rogers arena next game..shud all flash their "stanley cups"! LOL
Lu usually plays better on the road, so maybe the Canucks won't have to score 3 or more to win it. Then again, he hasn't played in SJ all season so who knows?
I think it was last round or something but the road team won more games than the home.. until they came to Rogers Arena

You're forgetting the close proximity to Vancouver...I would watch often if there is an alternative to paying $50/ticket for a regular season game
